Thanks, I'll check out the spec on those. I do pull a travel trailer and load a dirt bike in the bed, so want to make sure they're up to par in terms of weight.

I think the at3 4s only comes in OEMish sizes, if that's a consideration.

Correct, I just checked and would have to go with a slightly different size than OEM, if I did decide to go with those.

For me it's hard to beat those Michelin's...I've had them for years on my Colorado, then Silverado, so more than likely will go with the same on the Tundra. Unless there is a significant price difference with the AT3s

    they have plenty for that.

In truth, you don't need more than a P-rated tire up to the max payload and towing specs of any tundra, toyota rates and sells them with P rated. Adding more just adds more weight and stiffer ride.

That said, if you want larger than about a 33", thats where you see all these guys going load E.

either those Michelins or coopers will be fine for hauling and towing.

if you do check them out, get the 275/60/20, thats a 33" and a little bigger than stock, but not much heavier at all, they ride super nice.

they have 2679 lbs per tire rating, plenty for a 1/2 ton tundra

here is a shot, and good luck

Oh definitely, I've used those Michelins since 2005. The keep changing the name on them but they're the same tire.

Question for you guys. I switched to a 295/60r20 BFG KO2 with Fuel Mavericks +1mm. Was running stock 18s with a street tire before I made the switch.

the truck runs great for the most part, but every now and then I notice slight steering wheel shake. Almost more of a vibration than a shake. Currently running the tires at 35PSI. I’ve had the shop look at it and they did a realignment and rebalanced and said everything is how it should be with no issues.

is this something I should keep worrying about or is this what’s to be expected when go up to this size tire. I feel like I may be trying to compare this to a street tire too much which is apples to oranges

those are load e right ?

If so that’s awful low pressure for that and it can mess up the tire

Not sure how many miles were taking but it can and is more likely a balancing issue perhaps, maybe a second place look at it like discount tire that calibrates the machines daily

Yes load E. Ive only put about 800miles on them since I got them. What should they be at for daily driving when not towing/hauling?

I had load e on my last tundra and I would run 43 cold psi, I found that after several sets of tires and different brands etc, that anything less than that would start running the edges down and not wear even.
So 43 was as low as I could go to get any kind of ride quality but high enough to not melt the load e edges

I went p rated this time

I have a set of 35x12.5 KO2 and have had a really difficult time getting them balanced. There's talk in places on this site about them being difficult to balance. Mine shook badly after the first balance, improved on second balance, and then got a little worse than the 2nd balance when I tried a third time using road force. I'm going to try again but it's really frustrating. I had the same size on my 2015 and they were a challenge also ... although not this bad. I've been running KOs for a long time but I may have to make a switch. Thinking of going to Nitto Recon Grappler SL rated as I don't tow much. I've heard they're great but worried about how they'll do in snow as I'm in Maine.

I can second that they get loud fast. They sound great at first. I had a set on my old '93 LC and my son had a set on his Tacoma. But, they were the best AT tires in the snow that I have ever owned.

So far so good but only have about 500 miles on them, no off roaring yet. Road noise impressed me the most with how aggressive the tread looks. Can almost pass for a mud terrain at a glance. I had Wildpeak AT3W on my Taco load range E and very similar road noise for comparison.

Not as bad in person with the TRD Pro flares, gives it a very aggressive look. Although a little bit more higher offset would still be preferred. I’m happy with it overall.

Gramlights are a little cheaper and come in 0 offset. Have been heavily contemplating those.

My scs’s are -10. I actually love the poke.

Hmm I didn't think they made the gramlights in 17". I googled it and it looks like they do.

How about a 285/65r20 (34.5") on stock Platinum rims?

I recently have a post with similar question. A fellow member put 35 11.5r20 on his platinum with stock rims and said no rub no issue.

Depending on the tire, 285/65r20 may require a 8.5inch rim and our platinum rim is 20x8.

But something like a Nitto recon 35x11.5r20 works on 8inch rims.

Switched up my wheels and tires a couple weeks back

I was originally running the OEM 20" platinum wheels with Nokian Outpost 275/65R20, weighing in at ~58lbs, putting each corner close to 95lbs. I definitely noticed a difference in fuel economy, which I was expecting, and NVH was higher as well with the 126 load rating. Again it was expected, but after 10 months I decided to have another look for some after market wheels in a higher offset and a lighter tire.

Ended up deciding on some Method 318s in gloss black coming in just shy of 30lbs. Not light by any means, but the offset was right at +40mm. Not a fan of the tires out past the fenders, been there/done that. Tires are General Grabbers coming in at ~43lbs in 275/70r18 w/116 load rating, putting each corner ~73lbs. NVH is back to normal and fuel economy has improved

No issues I believe you just have to be careful with inner wheel weight placement when the wheels are balanced as some have encountered issues with them hitting the calipers.

I just ordered mine but went with 18s 0 Offset. Any rubbing or anything with the -10? I'm sure I'll have some trimming to do.

Some trimming, pinning back the liner and mud flap removal of the front wheel well was needed for my setup.

    Lots of stuff!
I think @raylo might have put these on. There are a few members here that have posted about them. They seem like a great solution to cover the areas missed by the OE flaps.
