Yeah that's something. I meant the gold being color matched to his gold rocker panels and wheel arches

Can you post a pic of the angle of the back up camera? Currently ruining mine off the license plate mount. Interested in the Handel camera, how is the quality

Curious myself. That thing must have wide view angle since it faces down like that.

Art and @jerryallday, I looked and don’t have pics of my display while in reverse but dang I love it. That higher vantage includes a lot and its resolution is great. I need to dial in my lines though….wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.

On the latter part of your Q, a few folks have the Master Tailgaters handle (and one or two have the Chinese knockoff and/or stolen design on scAmazon/fleaBay). The thing we've heard in other replies about the quality of the handle itself is, it's plastic, and one side of the handle - the side that you need to pull on to open the tailgate - feels a little flimsier than OEM. Like, not so flimsy it will absolutely break, but ... how did one member put it, something like, "If someone wasn't regularly lubricating their tailgate latches and whatnot, I could see them pulling on the short side of the handle and it snapping off".

I'm so tempted to buy the damn thing. But I do disconnect my tailgate from time to time when shoveling things out of the truck, and the commentary I've read on the rigidity of the handle ...

If someone made a more-rigid steel or composite handle as-strong or stronger than the OEM handle, and ready to be painted, I'd be all over it like flies on shit.

So far the quality seems good. I got the metal handle too just for peace of mind. The paint on the handle is the one think I’m wondering how long it will hold up, it’s kinda rough but we’ll see.

I don’t anticipate taking my tailgate off but I did make it where the connector is accessible, I have it stuffed into the tailgate but it’s easy to get to. Here are some pics. The lines are the cameras, I have the hu ones turned off.

Huh. Didn't know that, thanks for filling me in.

I wonder how easy it'd be to paint-match? It'd look pretty stupid having an all-white truck with white trim and chrome accents, black tailgate handle would stick out like a sore thumb.

I might upgrade for the metal. Thanks for the info.

handle strength feels adequate to me for now but yeah would be a bummer if it broke.

God damn you are anal. Between this and your requirements for wheel color and a topper perfection you've put even my OCD to shame. :D

I've only talked to a few people that have this handle and the paint job is usually the issue. Unfortunately that seems true of most modern things.

Not too bad. I went Natika camera and drilled a hole into my stock handle. Its not nice and flush like yours but it gets the job done. The quality isn't the best but it works.

I would recommend people do this ESPECIALLY if they have an OEM paint-matched handle. The JDM driveway guy made a how-to video. But crap I didn't know they had a metal handle or I'd have bought that one!!

I did the same thing. The quality of the Natika camera is good enough for me.

I mean ... I dunno, I think it'd look awesome on your truck, you've got a lot of black accessories. I got the Limited because I wanted paint-match and gunmetal with less chrome.

But yeah. You're right. The OCD is strong, and it's a burden.

Paint the chrome black. That's what I did on my 99 taco. It had a black tailgate habdle, chrome door handles, chrome grill, and chrome bumpers. Blacked 'er out.

My limited still has a black tailgate handle, but the door handles are color matched. Maybe it was replaced. Hell maybe I replaced it and forgot. I've replaced quite a few tail gate handles since I've owned nothing but trucks haha

There is no way those guys are making a metal handle with metal forging/components. That's a metal cover on the same product. Please prove me wrong but you can't. (IMO)
