How can I confirm if my 2019 Trd pro had the transmission and engine oil cooler? I was on a video website ( which is not the best place to trust what people say but I am intrigued nonetheless)
The guy said that the 2018’s had them but not the 2019. I am not sure where to look or what to look for. Please advise

Thank you very much. Follow up question
Do you think I need one if I’m towing a bass boat ? I may have to tow a 1500 Chevy Silverado truck from Florida to Louisiana but that is a rare thing. I mainly to my boat when i can. I am reading more into the pros and cons of having and external cooler for the transmission and engine oil.

the possibilities of this truck is phenomenal. I have been slowly going through the picture thread getting ideas on modifications. Still not sure about the shackle on the leaf springs but I’m high on performance and using this truck as my new daily driver.

Probably not, unless you're running some really extended grades in hot weather... Best bet is to just watch your temps and even consider installing a scan gauge that can show active temps on your phone or other readout as your driving. If you find the trans isn't staying cool enough when monitoring, then I'd look to adding an aftermarket cooler...

If I recall, I think another forum member here... @M3Tundra-JK had one w/very minimal mileage that he was selling. I believe it was the larger of the 2 sizes generally offered for these rigs. His rig was side swiped while parked after just completing some extensive mods, so he removed most of those parts in anticipation of the truck either being totaled out or tied up in repair for months.

PS>>> Regarding the suspension side of your question; a lot of folks here have talked about and gone with the Roadmaster Active Suspension setup and seem to really like it. It may be worth looking at....

I have had two tundras and put RAS on both. Absolutely awesome for a half ton truck.

I don't think it is necessary. I added one to my 2020 but that was because I had to max tow several times a month. I think with install I was $1K out the door.

For suspension, I would add a rear sway bar and roadmaster active suspension. That will tighten up the rear end and make things feel very stable. It's not needed with the bass boat but if you get up into the 8k-10k you will want this stability.

I would add a cooler if towing. I was getting 210F+ not towing anything before installing the cooler.

I haul a dump trailer and boat trailer. I wanted one to have the peace of mind that I wouldn’t roast the transmission fluid and TC.

    Thanks

not trying to hijack my own thread but the suspension bit brings about more questions that I’m hoping to sort out with literature.

On the towing side nothing to hard core but I rather have it and not need it than the opposite

    FWIW….
I spoke to a tech at Schaffer oil a year or so ago and in his words if a trans fluid hits 240* it should be changed out ASAP since there’s no fluid made these days that can withstand that temp and not start seriously breaking down.

I installed a Genuine Cooling trans cooler at 12k on my 2021 and never looked back. I bought the Desert Research cooler.

Towing a 6000lb camper in 94* temp up big hills on the interstate at 45-55mph it hit 210* a couple times. As soon as I topped the hills the temp decreased to to 195-200*. I change my trans, front and rear diffs and transfer case every 30k. Engine oil every 5k.

I use all AMSOIL except the transfer case where I use the Toyota specified ridiculously priced gear oil.
