Vegas was eh for me since I'm not a gambler. Definitely not as cheap as it was described. The Valley of Fire and Lake Mead are a nice visit though. I'd like to go back though and visit Mount Charleston too.

Which part of the canyon are you going to?

I'm in the same spot, we literally have not spent a dime on gambling but it definitely still isn't cheap. Honestly it to me is just a depressing town where everything gives the illusion of being swanky.

We're heading to the south rim for the day and staying at Under Canvas before taking off to the petrified state forest and then flying out of Albuquerque.

Do the Blue Mesa trail when you're there. It was the best one we saw.

If the back window could be replaced this might be a good buy. It's carpeted too and appears to be in good shape otherwise.

Should be replaceable. Wouldn’t make much sense to have to buy a new topper over damaged glass unless it’s obsolete.

I don't think many of these companies are still making toppers for our trucks and I have a feeling if I were to call Leer, they would tell me they no longer offer that back window.

Got more pics/deets? I'm not on FB and I think that's FB mktpalce vs. OfferUp.

I suspect Leer may still make windows for it ... or someone does, at least. The frame may be a bitch to find. I'm just curious if it's the fit I'm looking for. Clearly the price is right.

I’ve made windows out of plexiglass from HD before. Worked great. Still need the hardware to make the frame

That's how mine is. My dad's 2nd gen Taco is the same way, they had to cut the shell at the install place to fit a lumber rack with it.

Appreciate it! We use a lot of the same stuff. One thing I use sometimes is a turtle wax dash and glass for quick cleanups. Then I follow it with the 303. I actually use that meguiars gold for quick cleans, and even on the leather couch. Good stuff. The chemical guys combo beats it, but is two steps. CG is also much easier than the lexol and about even in results on newer leather. Think I might give the Griots leather combo a try when I run this stuff out, and will report back. I counter balance the misogyny by cleaning the seats in a thong, while the wife sits a lawn chair drinking a beer and inspecting my work.

Sometimes I swear it's cap dealers that sit and camp on CL, OfferUp, FBM waiting for these sub-$400 caps to show up, knowing they can dump a hundo or two into them, refurb, and flip for 3x-4x more...

That looks like a 2GT+ cap. I've seen a number of caps for 1GT that are flared at the base, I assume to keep water from rolling under the edge, but none that full-on wrap an inch past the bedrail like that.

I'm more anal-retentive about how the cap meets the rear of the cab. I prefer the contoured look where the cap matches the back window like this.

This is why I'll never find a cap. :D I want form-fitting along the cab, I want windoors on one side, but not full-length windows, and I don't want a rise in the cap, just flat. I know this exists because I saw it drive by, in white, when we were in Fort Bragg CA a few weeks ago. And I think it was probably SnugTop that made it.

I like the way this looks but I've seen a few of these completely remove the paint below the bed rail. I prefer mine that rides on top.

Fake news. Skid Row skid plates fit 00-06, except for the v6’s.

I bet if you don't mind drilling, it will work across all years. Seems he hints that in his thread and that he's mainly trying to utilize existing frame holes. You have to drill into the frame for the skid row transfer case skid. For the transmission skid/ cat guard with the Skid Row plates, you have to drill the rear cross member. I also ended up drilling my front cross member even though there are threads in the cross members. Those threads will eventually fail if you take the skids off and on multiple times, especially if you have the oil pan skid too since they share the same hole. Then your easiest option will be to drill straight through the front cross member and run a longer bolt like I did. I'd be aware of this if Talons plates uses these same threaded holes from the factory.

#1 is a factory threaded hole that failed on me. #2 is a hole Skid Row tells you to drill.

Hold up, I remember drilling holes for my sliders but not for any of the skid plates and I have all 4. Hell, maybe I did, that was 4+ years ago and I was smoking a lot then. :rasta:

I just finished re-installing my front two skids so this is definitely fresh on my mind.

On the transfer case skid, 1 & 3 are drilled on both sides. #2 doesn't need to be drilled, runs through the cross member and uses nut plates on top through an existing hole.

I don't understand, if you already run Skid Row, what you would get from adding Talon?
