Lizard people dropping like flies, what's going on?

Last week it was squish'em flat week, this week's only just begun and James Crown bought it in a car racing accident. I'm guessing a certain Russian oligarch's days are numbered if they haven't already been cut short.
The old boys network is going to be standing on street corners handing out ties if they keep dying at this rate...

I've often thought: I'm glad I didn't take a different path and end up in a high paying job at a young age. I wouldn't have gone through the hardships I have or gained the wisdom and callouses that I have. Both on my hands and my soul. I think: I may have ended up a real asshole.
Then I realized: wait a minute,......
I ended up a real asshole anyway.
So, looking back, I shoulda went for the money and had more fun. I probably woulda crashed a race car or fell off a mountain, etc, but still.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    it wasn't until I was in my 40's that I realized...nobody cares.

take care of #1, so that you can take care of your family.

once I started making ME happy, life opened up.

    and then I got a S/C.

    Life is good.

I realized this as well, but at a much younger age. While serving we lost an 18 year old kid while off duty, he didn't have 3 months on board the ship and nobody cared. A few years later we lost another kid on another ship to a nap. Transferring stores in a "working party" went to take a nap and was gone right there, 20 years old. Next day was business as usual.

BTW anyone notice big Navy is getting rid of Commanding Officers (C.O.) again? maybe it's the change of the lizard's command structure??
Early 2000's the Navy started cutting C.O.s starting with ours, welp, they cleared half our command, LOL..

I'd be an awesome billionaire. Bezos isn't billionairing properly. Musk is doing ok-ish. I'd be better.

I'd do shit like 100% fund the provincial air ambulance service, pour money into the children's hospitals, randomly pick a few hardworking middle school kids from broken homes and fund their entire education etc.

I'd also do shit like build a couple small castles across from each other, install trebuchets and have watermelon wars with my friends. I'd also spend my free time adventuring, fishing and hunting around the world.

Of course, I'd also go out of my way to be a MASSIVE pain in the ass for people I don't like too. Kinda like buying the company I used to work at, firing the manager that pissed me off when I was there, then selling the company again with the caveat that the manager never get rehired. :D

None of this gigantic yacht, hoarding money and generally being a twat stuff like Bezos et al.

The nobody cares attitude has hit hard in the last 10 years.
Not only at work, but it's also rampant in every aspect of dealing with the general public.

People don't seem to take pride in what they do anymore.
They don't pick up after themselves or put their grocery carts up.
They seem to be 'ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME' with no regard for anyone but themselves.
They don't even raise their kids or teach them respect anymore.

    Yep, I am now a curmudgeon.

    I'm with you.

I call it "doing the absolute minimum necessary to sort of kind of get the job done".

I see this with my children all the time.

I think it's an infantile mentality propagated by the public mis-education system, and a classic symptom of one side of the "political spectrum". Riots? Can you say temper tantrum by kids in adult bodies?

(at the risk of being banned..)

I think we touched on this in a different thread recently but I believe a lot of people are realizing that these mega corporations they work for don't really reward hard work. Why kill yourself for no return?

A lot of people work there asses off and still don't have a lot to show for it. Times have changed.

That's a valid point I don't think I've seen before. (Although I remember seeing someone saying (outside this forum) along the theme of "or you could get a job at a large corporation and never do a lick of work again".)

I remember reading an article in Wired a long long time ago about Venezuela. One of the people there was quoted as saying "the government pretends to pay us, and we pretend to work".

    Sigh. God help us.

Your not wrong. I don't work for a mega Corp tho. I work for a 5000+ employee health system. My younger employees have a hard time understanding that it's not just about working hard. There is still a game to play and you still have to be the right person for the job when a promotion becomes available.
I can put all of my ppl in a room and they all think they bust their asses. For the most part they are right. Many of them will never move up in the structure because of the attitudes they can't or won't change. Giving in and doing the bare minimum only gets you replaced faster.
