    Too many, but not enough....
Well it's usually either summer or it's not but this year we got dumped on for like 5 months so we actually had 3 seasons instead of just 2 lol

So with just the underlayment and 2 inch polyiso installed on top of the roof deck, we have already noticed a decrease in temperature in the garage. This metal is going to be sweet.

Not this year… lol. Tons of rain and then they entire month of May we didn’t see the sun once. It was noted on our local news that San Diego was the coolest and cloudiest place in May on record. Give it another month, we’ll be melting in heatwaves and evacuating from fires :(

Recently wrapped up this master bath for my client.

103” long vanity quartz counter. Caesarstone Primordia with their concrete textured finish.

24x48 porcelain floor tiles with Schluter
    Ditra heated floor.

    Soaking tub with quartz surround.

Largest shower I could physically fit between the windows and a relocated doorway. Ceramic walls and porcelain hex floor that matches main floor.

I would have to say the stairs are the worst part of the job. Demoing an entire bathroom and carrying every pound out to the dumpster is awful. 1” thick wet bed tiled floors suck! And then everything needs to go upstairs.

Wasn’t possible at this one, but I did get lucky back in January. 150 Sq ft bathroom all out the window right into the dump trailer.

The project looks amazing. I appreciate the before and after pics since my wife and I would like to complete a similar renovation someday. Obviously you put a tom of time into this and the new materials have a great finished look. I love the simplistic shower head setup and the huge floor tiles. What does one of those 24x48 tiles weigh?

I think around 30 pounds each, then heavier once you backbutter or comb thinset on the backs of the tiles. I bought a Grabo Pro electric suction cup to assist with placing the tiles when flipping and setting them.

Sweated in a new outside faucet. I boogered up the threads on the old one trying to replace the pressure relief. I also bought a cordless drill bundle while I was at HD. So a $30 repair kit really cost me almost $300.

Anyone here in California had one of those metal garage buildings installed? I am about to start getting quotes and want to have an idea of what the cost is for a 30x40 building, concrete pad, and electrical from someone who already has gone through the process (I know there are so many variables that affect price, just looking to see others experiences).

Yea that would drive me nuts! Hope the pole reduces the amount of incidents, can you add a gate of sorts or may some more poles to completely eliminate the problem. OR Mitigating Issues.png

I have STEEP driveway and leave my trash cans up by the side of the road. So people have been pulling off to throw away their shit in my cans. But to do that you have to drive several feet onto my property. So I am thinking a gate (don't have the money for that now), but temporarily getting boulders which I have oddly have plenty laying around the property to put up with a sign. Some people just don't give a fuck.

Found some water perking near my unfinished raised beds:(.

Took a 3' concrete stake and probed depth(blue lines) to get a barring on the leak location. It went 3' and I new it was the well line:mad:.
    IMG_20230706_152414.jpg
Took the raised bed apart and started digging....
    IMG_20230706_195509.jpg
Turned water off next morning and pumped 60gl out of hole and kept digging....
    IMG_20230707_110237.jpg
    And dig some more...
    IMG_20230707_120724_01.jpg
Turned out to be a cracked cap from an abandoned supply line. Wrong application cap, overtightened and eventually failed.
    IMG_20230707_142440_01.jpg
    New proper cap and adapter.
    IMG_20230707_142440_02.jpg
About 8hrs total work and $25 in parts to fix.:bananadance:

Taped and doped the nipple/cap, no leaks and drying out.

I finally threw some bigger racks in the shop for more storage...moved some cabinets around and I'm liking the use of space more...I gave myself 2 hours and it took all day...Ha!
