Salads are awesome, but the dressing you use is the critical ingredient. And croutons can piss off!

 

In a green bottle it usually is. You need to buy better beer.

 

My wife puts ketchup on her mac and cheese too, even the fancy stuff we make. She says ranch on eggs sounds disgusting, though.

 

I believe the FDA ruled that a few years ago, yes.

 

Bacon is the original superfood. It's great by itself, and makes everything better.

 

What's fancy mac and cheese?

 

Well, like mac and cheese we made ourselves from scratch vs Kraft Dinner where you open the box and dump it in a pot.

 

We always make it from scratch. You broke up after vs. None of the rest of your post made any sense.

 

EDIT: After you pour the cheese sauce into casserole dish with the macaroni, sprinkle the top with shredded chedder and cook it just until the top gets a nice golden brown.

Bonus...if you double the recipe and fridge it after cooking, it's easy to cut into cubes and freeze, and it reheats in the microwave in a few minutes.

 

Fancy is that plus Gouda and crispy crumbled bacon. Occasionally some green chilies.

 

We have two recipes. First one uses white onion, cheddar and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Second one uses red onion, provolone (or mozza) and curry powder.

We usually mix in broccoli as well and top it with two layers of cheese, two layers of panko and asparagus.

 

Do you sauté the onion first? I like onions, but they have to be cooked unless they are Vidalia. Cant do red...they stick with me in a bad way.

 

Yup. Sautee the onion with the spices then add the flour to make a roue then add the cheese to make a cheese sauce. Add the mac and broccoli, transfer to a baking dish, top with cheese, panko and asparagus and bake it.

 

Kraft Mac and Cheese is better than from scratch.
