Will be itnerested to hear how the MSD coils go for you. I'm a big MSD fan for GM SBC, but noticed other 2UZ drivers bitching about issues with them on the 1st gens.

I saw those comments too. I've had them on my 98 Chevy S10 LS1 for sometime and never been disappointed. We shall see. So far so good.FB_IMG_1535679196609.jpg

If anything it really was "no Italian tune ups or passing of log trucks occurred" and also consciously trying to keep it under 2K RPM and trying to adhere to shift points stated in the 04 Owners manual.

    Shift.jpg

There were no part changes that occurred to help, they're all in good shape anyway and fuel trims indicate same. I did change front and rear shocks/struts but have no clue if that was a plus. Struts seemed to still be good but the left rear had definitely lost it's absorption abillities. Pushed top on ground and it collapsed but stayed collapsed.

Haha. Couldn’t find cheap 17” 4Runner or Taco takeoff wheels (or I could but then they had crap tires like Dunlops or something but wanted to charge me for them). Plus I have what I consider to be a long commute (~35 miles daily).

Try a spray bottle of 50/50 purple power and water (or degreaser of your choice) and scrub it really good with a stiff brush. Don't need to go too heavy and you can wipe it dry enough with a towel.

i think theres a forum member that does custom stickers and stuff, could probably cut out & send you the negative for a rattle canned custom logo or whatever. I wouldnt hate having hoosier or shiner logos, but i think i'd end up getting something dumb like 'lady tires' and 'smooth' or mr.bee & missing out on the opportunity to have 'bitchelin'.

    effin pegged.

pegging the tach or the speedometer means hitting the pointer needle on the peg that limited the travel of the needle. And according to google pegging is not that. But nah'mean.

only 95'ish. They passed some new laws here pertaining to speeds over 100mph. I mean, obviously it was already illegal, so they basically just increased the penalties. It came about because of the stupid car clubs with their 'street takeovers', blocking off huge intersections in the busiest parts of the biggest towns, so they could do donuts and run over their friends. But..... they made for some great tiktokagrams.
