    I could have dragged along a hockey buddy instead (I took my wife and our 2 teenagers), but the beer budget would have killed the economics of the whole thing!

    This is the way. Although I would've used the 2x4s to protect the top of the rail and flipped it around after taking the tailgate off. Don't want the bed pressing up against the rear window. Also needs a lot of ratcheting straps.

    That is pretty much how I envisioned doing things @w666 thanks!

    Sorry for not responding lately. I caught an infection and had a bit of a time getting over it and the antibiotics. Seller seems to have been a flake or a scam. No joy there.
