Hey all. I was pulling our camper yesterday, and I noticed hesitation and loss of power when I pushed the gas to the floor to climb a grade. It did not throw any codes at the time. I should preface this by saying I drive like a grandpa and hardly ever floor it. Is something just gummed up or could it be something more serious? I have a 2014 with the 5.7L. Thanks

When was the last time you changed the air filter and spark plugs? And it certainly doesn't hurt it to floor it and let it clear itself out.

Lol apparently. Maybe I should have mentioned "poor gas mileage" or "biggest tires with stock suspension" to get more views...

I'm going to try that to see if it clears it out.

It's been a while since the air filter and I've never changed the plugs. It's got 74k on it now. I just cleaned the MAF sensor and threw a bottle of Seafoam in the tank so we'll see if that helps...

It sounds familiar... I do believe I posted something like this a while ago, but I was not towing. It was in a slight grade, while trying to overtake a big rig, when I got nothing, I switched lanes back behind the rig and moved to the right to prepare for an out of fuel scenario or bigger issue, but shortly after it continued like nothing happened. My .02 cents are to check your recirculation hose at the intake manifold that goes underneath the throttle body, if it's cracked or torn, maybe it's time to change it. You may also need a throttle body gasket if you decide to remove it.
