Those are aftermarket upper control arms of some sort, that may be normal how those look. Is the truck driving/turning okay?

Just looks like it needs new ball joint boots. If it has been leaking for a long time, the joint could be dry of grease and fail quickly. Probably should add some grease and get it fixed pretty soon

There is a creaky/squeak sometimes when moving at very low speeds and turning the steering wheel

I'd have to agree with getting them replaced sooner rather than later. They don't look like they've seen grease in a long time. The Uniball looking ball joint looks pretty corroded, I'm sure that's where some of the noise is coming from. It could also be the Upper Control Arm bushings where they connect to the frame. Depending on the brand of UCAs, they should've been greaseable too, and probably weren't.

What lift setup is on it? It might have a full Rough Country lift.

Cheap ass RC rubber ball joint boots are failing in less than 3 years. Reminds me of my GM bankruptcy mobile. Suspension was shot in less than 60k miles. I would grease the upper ball joints now and replace the boot at a minimum, if not the entire ball joint.

    Too many, but not enough....
The picture on top looks way worse. It seems to have a big tear in it. I would definitely replace the ball joint completely. Its likely going to impact your alignment and wear. If your tires need to be replaced anyway, I would do it at the same time or before I got new tires.

Thank you all! I bought it used from out of state a few months ago without asking much about anything. Not the smartest way to buy a truck but I really wanted it haha.
