Another little update. Made some progress late last night on making it more weather proof. Redesigned to add a rubber o-ring at the base of the cap and also made some exact-fit holes to route the pigtail out. There wasn't an easy way to seal off the pigtail because of how small this plug is - at least to what a 3D printer can do. I'll test once again when my o-rings come in tomorrow. Once all heat shrinked and wrapped up it should be pretty weatherproof.

It will help, but I'm not sure how strong it will be. The clip seems rather small and to 3D print something that thin just doesn't sound like it's going to hold up even with strong high temp filament. I can certainly try though. Maybe I can at least make the design a bit better.

I'm going to try to make a clip from my version as well. Just haven't got there yet. Although, with the heat shrink wrap it seems like it'll be pretty snug in there.

    I try!

For those with the premium lighting (CANBUS.) What are you doing as far as wiring for the marker lights? I recently swapped out trucks for one with the premium lighting and I'd like to swap the PRO flares over to the new truck. Haven't looked through wiring diagrams at work yet.

Alright everyone another major update. I redesigned to fit a nitrile o-ring and made the neck longer to make a clip. It's just a slip-on clip with a notch and not a press-style like the factory but this will do just fine as long as we're not taking it on and off multiple times. Next up, I'm going to print using high temp carbon fiber infused nylon material which has a deflection point of 300 F so should be more than enough.

I tried fitting a connector insulation at the exit of the plug, but the diameter required to put those to holes would require a hefty redesign of the plug. It's possible, just don't know if I want to do that just yet.

I made the wires holes smaller to pretty much have the wire sleeving be the insulation and it's pretty dang snug as it is right now.

@ryanwgregg would you be able to send me a photo of the back of the plug - showing the weather seals around the 2 wires?

Since you have a bunch of these, I don't mind sending you a set to test fit, but I still need to see what weather seal type they used behind the plug. I can send you a version with that included, if it's possible to add.

Anyone have part# for harness connector that connects to the taillights? I tried t-tapping my flares into the taillights and some how it cut the wire in half. I rewired it and got it to work but looking to replace.

Morning friends. I received my fenders in and am getting ready to wire. Question, for us with the Premium Led head and tail lights, can we just tap into each light like the regular lights? TIA

Thanks for the response Ryan. I’ve read the entire thread but maybe I missed it. Is there somewhere that’s it’s already been answered how to wire it up if you have the Premiums or can you/someone help me out with what to do. TIA

Yea, i did YOUR way of doing it which Im not a fan of. Hence me asking if there is another way people are doing it with premium lights that doesn’t involve your trailer wiring method.

I’m continuing to love my Spidertrax 1” wheel spacers. Driving, handling and the look and feel are just wonderful. I think the extra spacing makes the TRD Pro wheel well trim look so much better. Spacer install went smoothly and the spacer and wheel (and tire) torque ft-lb checked out, nothing budged after the initial installation.

I drove 500miles on them and everything is perfect except one thing…my front tires now rub on my mudflaps which is unexpected! They did not rub before and it’s noticeable. I’m not sure what to do, I prefer not to lose my mudflaps if possible. Are there other aftermarket mudflaps with a flatter profile? The rub is just on the very edge, not much but enough. Thank you teab! I appreciate your note! Re: trimming the mud flaps, what are some good techniques to do this? I am thinking that I could "filet knife" them cutting off thin strips, or I could use my Dremel tool to sand off sections etc. I would like to do a clean job, knowing some best approaches is always a good start for me (so I don't mess it up lol) :) Thank you again! Cheers!!

Awesome advice thank you teab! I'm also surprised this is the first trim needed! I only think I have rub on the driver's side so far (I may be wrong about that, will check again). Seems only logical it should be rubbing equally on both sides however! I'm not sure if my rear tires are rubbing on those mudflaps but I don't think so either. I think I'll use one of the Dremel sanding tools (band and drum) rather than cut off wheels, as I know those wheels can easily slice through the entire flap like butter! :) I agree that the clearance is already quite close, I don't anticipate a ton of sanding. Flaps look super easy to remove as well. Much appreciated teab!! T

    Lots of stuff!
This makes sense that the wheel is further away from the pivot point so the outside arc is greater. I have rubbing on mine, my wheels are about 1 1/2" out from the pivot point and my tires are a bit wider so I took my mud flaps off until I figure out the which flat ones to get or modify my OE ones.

Thanks PBNB! I will also be taking mine off to modify soon. Are there flat mudflaps available that do not rub?

Just food for thought, don’t know how thorough your alignments where.

Upon initial install of my 295/70 R18 tires spacers, 2/1 lift kit I had rubbing on the frame.

The shop that is installed the kit did the preliminary alignment, it rubbed on the frame. Thereafter I took it to Toyota to have them alignment it to spec, at first Toyota wanted to be lazy and remove the mud flaps, I insisted just align the bitch!
After all was said and done, no rubbing and an improved turning radius.
YMMV, since you have 20” and the TRD lift.

Thanks gentlemen! Just ordered a set. I like this option better than shaving and cutting my mudflaps, I’ll sell my current ones. I appreciate the recommendation! I love my spacers they really work with the Camo wheel trim. Makes the 20” wheels really pop and the poke is just enough to look perfect to my eyes without protruding from the wheel well. The driving feels super stable, perhaps psychological but feels very solid, more “grounded” than prior if that makes sense. Previously looked too much like pizza cutters w/the 285/65R20, now love it. Hoping the new flaps will clear clean!

    Hello everyone,
Thank you for the amazing information, I managed to score a set of the pro fender flares last week, they came in the mail Monday, prepped all the wiring Monday night and installed and wired them last night. Here are some pics for y’all. Will be installing 1” spacers today.

Tonight I installed the spidertrax 1” spacers, and I feel like it pushed my stock wheel and tires out enough to look like it did when I had the regular limited flares.
