A bit high on the price side for me tbh. I posted the jeep for auction on eBay yesterday. Put the sway bars back on, drove it to work today and I'm like damn, sway bars make a huge difference lol.

I hear ya on the price...it is high for what potential issues are only seen. Regardless, a sweet sport truck that would surely make anyone smile sitting in or even watching it pass you!

Sway bars are SUPER beneficial if you use roads more than trails! Almost makes even a Jeep feel sporty in the corners!

    Agreed on both!

I keep bouncing around changing my mind on things, I've got a good prospect on a job come Oct. A lot of my former data center co-workers moved to. I'd feel a lot better if/when I can get that finalized.

Here's the link to the Jeep Auction. $20k reserve.

That is a purpose-built Jeep! If you have any videos of it being "used" on the trails, it may foster more interest seeing it in action. You have some NICE bits on that beast! I hope it goes quick and for a great price for you!

Sending positive vibes for your future endeavors on employment! You got this!

I've always heard converting 2wwd to 4wd was too much work, to just get a 4wd to begin with. I'd rather start work converting the M3 from SMG to manual before I tackled a full on 2wd to AWD conversion!

Didn't see it was 2wd, sorry.

Also, I thought the SMG was pretty good.

The SMG can be good. But the SMG hydraulic pump has a tendency to fail around 100k miles. Mine did. My warranty paid 99% of the replacement cost of $5200.

It also has a ServiceBulletin to replace this tiny little spring on the top side of the transmission, that's a part of the SMG system. It creates a stall when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. I had them replace that along with a new flywheel and clutch plate around 99k miles.

The SMG just gets hate on a lot by people that don't know it's literally the same manual transmission and components, with an added hydraulic pump to do the shifting instead of the clutch/shifter knob

Off road Kooks. There's a guy on this forum that picked up almost 40whp with just Kooks headers and a tune.. I probably won't pick that up with boost but gonna give it a shot. Also gonna pulley down a bit more. It seems all I do since this build started was to wait on people or parts lol

i see! yea i shopped around who has the least amount of lead time. ARH is moving locations and they told me 13 weeks for them. SW was 4 weeks per their website. my installer called SW and confirmed if in stock, i apparently grabbed the last set of headers and exhaust in the shelf and arrived within a week so I got lucky.
and same here man, always waiting on parts, people, more parts...all these waiting is making me bored and now im thinking of more mods to add power...RC F throttle body and bigger intake perhaps.

unfortunately my truck is already married to D3's software and a lot of tuners in my area use HPtuners. D3 got rid of the option to turn off the downstream O2 sensors coz its illegal per the EPA.

as far as i know, those with HP tuners software, don't update it. or you'll lose the ability to turn it off. but i keep reading in GM forums there is still a bypass around it. a loophole in the software. but then again thats GM, not sure if the loophole works with Toyota ECUs

Apparently there's just a "class" you have to take for HPT and it unlocks the features. I assume it's a legality thing on their part where you tell them you're aware it's illegal and what you're doing is for racing only, etc. and then they grant you access.
