I hear you & agree...but, as we speak, we can't buy our beloved Ford Excursion because of why?
    the market wanted it
Ford made gobs of margin on it
but for some reason, it was taken off the market

I love the lucid wide body but yeah it’s like the new accord and costs more than a Taycan

Maybe. I would love to have a test drive swap. they had a Mach-E before the Lucid.

makes you wonder why not go directly to the Tesla?

So, the wife had to drive the ‘15 4Runner to the lake house….long story.

you should have heard her complain

you would think she drove a horse and buggy compared to the MS.

it’s amazing how the Tesla is so easy to acclimate to.

I had to drive a 4runner for about a week.

It rode "like a truck". Horrible turning radius. Very unpleasant.

    And nothing like a Tundra!!

    (ironic, I know!)

Body on frame - truck like characteristics.

Never experience the horrible turning radius. Or unpleasantness. Loved all 3 of my 4Runners!

    This.

    I had a '96 & passed the '15 to my son.

The '96 was IDEAL for a wam-digous stereo system. I still use the sub box in my garage gym.

the '15 has been bullet proof. 100k miles & doesn't burn a drop of oil.

The 4.0L will go down as one of the best motors Toyota built. Certainly not efficient (or powerful), but damn reliable.

I was accustomed to my '08 Tundra and '03 Matrix. Both were more pleasant to drive than the t4r.

    YMMV!

Recently I read a nice article about the good and bad of Plaid Tesla’s

The level of technology and performance is staggering. Which is good.

but after a while, one’s gets acclimated to it. That was the bad part

I tend to agree. The Plaids ability to perform in real world traffic is perfection. It does exactly what you would want a normal car to do

it passes cars without hesitation. It cruises is smooth comfort. It’s efficient, I guess.

As fate would have it, I had to drive the 4Runner due to My son using it over this weekend. The wife called an audible, and volunteered me to drive it. Man, I miss my tundra!

then, once we got to the lake, I drove the plaid.

you think a s/c’d tundra is spunky right up until you drive any Tesla.

Friday- carwow released a video of the plaid racing a koeniggsig. As you would guess, it beat it.

the plaid beat a special edition RST koeniggsigg

well, not in the half mile, but it whooped it in the 1/4

    just awesome
