Yea I was just curious if this is a normal amount, not super worried about it but mostly just curious. I’m sure it’s normal to have a little crud since it’s the inside of an engine not an operating room.

Yes. It is normal to find crud there.

Yes. It is normal to clean that sucker EVERY time you do an oil change.

That amount of crud looks like many many miles and many many oil changes without being cleaned.

Bonus points awarded for wiping off the actual oil fill port too.........even taking your lightly moistened (with brake clean) rag/paper towel and swiping the female threads purdy & clean.

As far as the maintenance schedule goes I just got it used and it was leased so I suspect the lease holder might’ve neglected a change or two (only leased for about 25000 of those miles. The rest of the maintenance schedule looks spot on

    Too many, but not enough....
Replace the gasket on the oil cap. It is a often overlooked maint. item.

It's way up top on the engine and not a good thermal conductor, so as one of the slower warming areas it's normal that moisture and oil vapors would tend to condense on it. You should see caps from cars that never go on the freeway and only do short trips. A lot of them fill with yellow goo.

Ya need at least 10 miles of running the engine at speed to get the oil properly hot to burn off all the accumulated moisture.
