Thanks! I actually have one that I need to install. But from the naked eye I didn’t think a bag like that would fit. Now I know!

My center one has 4 or 5 quarts of oil and a filter sitting in it currently. It would definitely hold a midsize toolbag.

I'm in the same boat, but w/a bit longer wait. I ordered on March 15th (sliders, trans skid and cat guards) which was about 1/2 way through their tax season 20% off and free cat guards sale... Oddly, the sliders are done and ready to ship, the hold is apparently the PC'd aluminum trans skid. At the time of my order, sliders were 4-6 weeks and skids were 2-4 weeks; that's since been updated but still a bit under stated (as you're experiencing as well).

I'm wondering if it's just a case of extending the tax sale into the memorial day sale for too long, plus dealing w/the mfr'ng of products for a new Gen at the same time is pushing 'em back further than expected.

I don't mind the extended wait as long as their attention to detail and their coating process remains top notch (as indicated on the website). Also, I think I heard somewhere there was a fitment problem w/one of the products for the new gens. I'm guessing that may have also slowed things down for production. However, I'll take a mfr delaying shipment when they notice something isn't quite right over just throwing products out even when they know something is wrong...

Changed oil in both Tundras. Started out nice day 90F and sunny. No sooner did I have my drain plug out and it started thunder storming. Got totally soaked and the damn wind made a mess of my driveway. Did switch to 5W30 synthetic in the 2018 and engine is seems quieter

Completed the install of the Roadactive Suspension HD purchased from @memario1214 at Hotshot Offroad. It will get a true test starting Saturday for two week trip with the travel trailer to Yellowstone from Texas. Hardest part of the whole install was jacking up the truck to get the rear suspension to hang right. Used the Jack stands under my sliders rather than the front leaf eyes.

I forgot to take measurements before the install so I can’t say if I gained any lift in the rear. I tightened the spring until the white disc just was able to fit between the coils.

There is a thread around here somewhere that is just dedicated to all the mods not or never installed and sitting in the garage.

Installed ditch lights with side shooter feature and ch4x4 switch.

Aesthetically, I don’t like the look of it but performance wise, they are very bright. The hardest part was fishing the wire from firewall going inside.

Next will be removal of spare guides to fit 315 spare under and hopefully trd pro exhaust system.

Only the black spacer gives you lift, the white one only took out the sag

Thank you. I will wait to crank it up when I get around to some new front shocks and lift the front.

Did an oil change. Just a click over 5000 miles on the old oil. And installed the Fumoto valve for the drain plug. So I'm a little excited on not having to clean up half a quart of oil on the next oil change.

Black spacer also hella stiff, it feel like a HD truck without weight in bed. I use a feeler gauge to set mine right in the middle…

Got my old man to modify his Tundie! He upgraded the headlights and taillights to Morimoto and added some Diode Dynamic goodies. The SS5's are mounted to my old light bar mount I briefly used before I upgraded to my eBay bumper.

Just need to paint match his chrome and he'll be set!

Randy Ellis Design. It is the best looking "bull bar" I have found for these trucks. It is sturdy too!

Here's a thread I started when I was trying to initially find it.

And here I thought having my wheels sitting for a month before getting installed was a long wait!
Then again I bought a first gen as a project and it sat for years before I bought my 2.5g and sold it. :anonymous:

Also wanted to mention the massive difference I’m seeing going from 275/55R20 to 285/75R18. This is even despite going from P to LT. All four of my shocks were shot (condition I bought the truck in) and the upgrade to 5100s was good, but the tires were night and day. Noticeable too, the first time towing my father-in-law’s trailer after switching. It’s a heavy, jittery, homemade trailer and it felt soooo much smoother with the new rubber!

Changed the oil! First time, and I'll be doing it from now on! I'd done dealer, then local/WalMart...was looking under it last weekend for cat protection, realized somebody left half the bolts off my factory skid plate, and all the bumper tab bolts).

On the protection, got the Talon front and engine skid plates on! Still need to do trans/cat, but already looks tough AF!PXL_20230612_000514059.jpg

Installed some 6112 @ 1.9 with 1 cb .50 shim. Glad I bought them assembled from wheelers off-road. Hardest part was jacking vehicle up and setting jack stands. Tomorrow will install the rears 5160.

Oh yeah, that thread had someone with tons of mods just sitting on his shelf for years. Kinda funny how similar a lot of us are in that way. I have packaged VLED puddle lights still in my desk drawer since I purchased in 2020.

Went out with a couple of towels to dry out the passenger interior side of my truck after my girlfriend took 5 minutes to get out and close the door in a downpour. To her credit, it was faster than her ~8 minute average time on a sunny day :frusty:
