My neighbor's job makes his car note since he's always on the road so he comes home in brand new Lincoln MKC every 2 years and by comparison it feels like he's Basically holding them til the wheels fall off.

It’s not that. It’s that you hang out in a place you’re not going to be a productive participant in. Just an odd thing to do. Kind of like going to a party and bitching about the drapes to anyone that will listen. It’s a douche bag move.

I joined the F150 forum to find out about lemon law buyback experience. I don’t hang out hammering current owners although I’m well versed in Ford quality issues and processes. In fact, I’ve helped 4 people in background trying to help them sort the process.
    You do you.

On top of these I also like the adjustable pedals, underseat storage doesn’t disappear with the hybrid option, the 2nd glove box on passenger side is nice.

things I wish ford would do is drop the antenna, add digital rear view, upgrade camera quality, and get rid of the god damn window dip

That’s just the east + and -. If I got specific I feel like the TRD pro gets shafted. I like how for the raptor and tremor they pretty much include all luxury options and then add the tremor or raptor goodies .

TRD pro is too expensive and too much of a flagship name to have shortfalls like manual steering wheel, tan headliner, etc

lol @ the window dip, I don't like that either.

I will say the screen video quality etc on the tundra is the best Ive ever seen, top notch. I added the screen protech HD film and its something. Ive never had a truck with all these cameras, the front one is perfect for parking in my tight ass garage, once I line up the bottom of the blue stripe on the camera to a point on the wall its perfect, makes fitting this thing a breeze when I thought I was totally screwed.

and I totally agree with you on the underseat storage on the hybrid, major ball drop by toyota. That was a big factor in my purchase , I had to have the storage this time around, I love it.

I tend to agree here, I wouldn't by a pro trim tundra, no way. the camo just doesnt work for me, interior headliner is off IMO, etc. You just don't get much for the price.

the platinum is the way to go, best interior by far and just add the TRD suspension then if thats your thing, then you get the best of everything as far as toyota goes.

Actual quote from TRD Pro owners: "But the resale value on the TRD Pro even though I bought this truck for the reliability so I could keep it forevers!"

that's fine, resale will be good for sure. I don't really care about that compared to the truck, I have to like the truck first.

I don't like the camo accents, tan head liner , lack of upscale things for the price tag.

just my .02, not shitting on any Pro owner, buy what you want, I did.

even if people think its ugly, I don't. In full disclosure I had to rid myself of a few Toyota oddities like piano black pieces and grill surround bs

here is one beautiful truck (before my tint), even if Bannerman doesn't think so, HA

Trust me, I completely agree. I dont think I would buy any TRD Pro Toyota.

I love going on the local Toyota facebook groups and seeing someone asking if they should put King's or Icon's on their new TRD Pro whatever and then putting their TRD Pro wheels up for sale .

For me the resale value was great. I got out of it. My platinum I sold for more than I paid, albeit not much more.

but I’d take a platinum over a pro. Only other trim I’d consider is a 1794 off road with the LB44 interior

Agreed. That’s in keeping with TRD Pro tradition. The biggest thing you’re getting for the trim is the exclusivity. Rare color, skid plate, bed stamps, maybe exhaust and sway bar, but hardly any real performance difference from other trims.

I do really like the 2019-2021 Fox shocks, so I put those on my truck that cost over 10k less (at the time).

I cant imagine the Tundra trying to turn 35's or 37's with that super tall 10th and 3.31's. That seems like a lot. But maybe not, IDK.

Really injoy reading this. I miss the remote start/ can add more time in the Ford, toyota you cannot.
4A I wasn't impressed over time and having the right tires works better for me.
Locking rear diff really useless for me/straight line or off road.
HD tow package in the Ford was worth nothing more at trade in and the trailer brakes were on 10 and still really no feel on the trailer vs my old 2012 tundra with a P2 was on 3.
Aluminum body panels are wavy vs steel.
Auto heating/cooling in the Ford was good in the , still learning to leave on steering wheel heat in the cooler mornings.
Tail gate step on the Tundra way better vs Ford step on the tail gate.
Tundra seating way better vs Ford I can really get stretched out in my Tundra, never raised the pedal since I'm 5,10 didn't need them in the Ford.
Rear full window is awsome as my Ford rear def died on one window and Ford was draging there feet seeing if they would warranty it.
The Ford lariat High option I had still didn't have lower glass wiper area def option turned on/side mirrors lower in reverse/dig rear view mirror/adaptive cruise control/led headlights were to dispersed and were really poor/fit and finish were nauseating.
Ford was a good puller for towing but I felt the lower weight was making it less stable.

One my ford's Trans start blowing fluid out the vent, I found out its the pump failing but Ford started giving me the run around. At 44,000 miles this was the last straw plus I work for a Toyota fork lift dealership and it was time to get back into a Tundra!

    44,000 miles Ford
Front diff pinion seal, valve cover cracked, iwe's, front wheel bearings,1/3 rear window defroster, cam phasers started @20,000 ford wouldn't address until one failed, door latches freeze and door won't stay shut, intermittent ac bugs, leaf spring grunting, clock spring replaced myself ford couldnt duplicate, horrible ride the longer I owned it, transmission failing.

Toyota never gave the run around on my past 2012 sr5, always had a loaner.

    Deep breath. ‍

2018 f150 lariat vs 2023 Tundra platinum. I could not sit like this in the Ford and if my leg touched the door panel in the Ford it would make noises. Sooo toyota comfortable! 20230609_202232.jpg 20230609_202335.jpg

Not sure how different 2021 f150 is but both tundras I had were uncomfortable. The pro was bad off the back, the platinum starter hood but then became like sitting on steel
