The color is a little wonky, but we had some really weird weather yesterday. Overcast, rain, in the low to mid 60s... then it was 75 degrees and Sunny when i took the after photos

Will this be the final version making it into production?

 

Well, we sent @digitalwiz home with them and he'll only be coming back when we need help with other parts... and I was given a deadline of 2:30PM to make a slab of meat install video (not flashy, NOT YouTube ready) to have up when you scan the QR code. Sounds pretty freakin' final to me!

 

Looks great, Same color Limited, can't wait to get mine and install them. Now I just need to take car of the window trim. Hurry up Chrome Stoppers.

Not that I want your business to take a hint, but Toyota should really take this as a hint. There is a literally an entire industry aimed at undoing their gaudy chrome on everything. Chrome delete was my first mod on my 4runner, Tundra and Sequoia. It isn't 1980 anymore. Just say no to chrome... it seems like most other mfgs have caught on to an extent with body matched trim or blacked out options.. I shouldn't have to spend an extra $1,200 on chrome delete every time I get a Toyota in the trim that I want.

Rears first, light bar right after.

In fact, the "bumper" area (the two lower portions) have a little notch in them to accommodate the light bar BumperShellz we're making. The little notch doesn't affect the chrome delete ability if someone wants to keep the light bar stock. Win-Win!

 

Haha, as the social media guy, seeing posts other might think of as "redundant" just adds more data and helps solidify that we are making the right decision for our business!

Look, I'll admit, I didn't finish the video yet. It's almost done. But it's me and my boss Grant really holding up the line. He needs to make the written instructions (that are accessed through the QR code included). He also needs to train our staff on how to tape and how to box the parts.

RUmor has it we will start shipping out a couple MAYBE today or FRIDAY. I know we keep moving the goal posts on this, but we are literally right THERE! Correctly shipped parts are possibly MORE important than just making sure the part fits well.

We were joking with @digitalwiz about this. It could be that our brains associate "chrome" with "truck". So they stick it in places to help increase sales. Th average truck buyer doesn't care about chrome delete. But many of them do. You kill off the chrome, you might lose that buyer...

 

Did anyone receive a shipping notification?

 

We haven't shipped them out yet. We are still finalizing the instructions. No one wants to get their parts with half-baked instructions.

As long as the mustache itself stays the same... then the below is true

It shouldn't matter unless the mustache changes shape. Then it has to be one or the other.


That being said, we are only accounting for OEM mustaches. Anything after market might be altered and change how our product fits. We have only fit them on OEM. Both brushed metal and already blacked out.

 

Mustache stays the same, regardless of grille. IDK if <Trump voice> China </Trump voice> has come out with knockoffs yet.
