I bought a truck camper and supposed to pick it up but can't find parts for tie down. I always used stake pocket tie downs and turn buckles but can't find info. Does 23 have stake pockets as can't find cut outs on the rail? Or any way to get frame tie downs. I will buy whatever I need. Just can't find. I have the new v6;turbo.

Welcome aboard! Didn’t know there was a camper option for the 23 Tundra anywhere close to payload. Which model did you buy? Another member here had a slide-in in their new tundra for a minute and then sold it. Maybe they would have a line on some mounting hardware.

It's a 21 650 lance. Back in 21 made for half tons. We used to tie down our truck campers with stake pockets now can't find them. No cut outs on rails?

Oooh. I remember reading about this when someone had a canoe roof rack thing that wouldn't work with their new Tundra vs their old. I believe the consensus at the time was "with the composite beds there aren't the usual stake pockets" and that was that, they ended up buying something compatible with bed rails?

Edit: ohhh, even eTrailer doesn't even know if anyone's making the frame-mounted camper tiedowns yet. There's some 'universal' options but none have been tested/confirmed to fit the new Tundra setup yet.

Over 2,000 pounds dry. Ouch. They don’t make a Tundra with that much payload. 90% of half ton trucks don’t have that much payload. That’s before any gear or occupants.

Curious how this worked out for you, since the camper was so much over capacity. I'm looking at popups that weigh much less and still flirt with max capacity.
