Got suspension work done there now just paid $800 to fix speed sensor wire in the area they f up. FYI these new tundra will shut down all drivers aid like cruise, park , radar even camera if one of possible four is out.

My father was born in 1939. Mother in 1941. I was born in 1973.
I don't know what generation label they have, or what generation label I have. And I don't care. Doesn't matter what your age or lable,.....none of you can drive and you all piss me off. Stay home and stay out of the way.

 

Were you unexpected too? My dad born in 39, mom in 40, and I was born 75. Mom thought I was a kidney infection when she went to the doctor.

Another plus to growing up in a pre-cell phone generation; there's no recorded evidence of any of my stupidity (other than scars).

 

Long, effed up story. If I talked about what idiots my parents were, people would clutch their pearls and lecture me with the whole honor thy parents crap.
I was the youngest of 5, with a long separation between me and the first 4. I was the only one that they actually had on purpose.
Which makes even less sense than the first 4 they had no business having.

 

There is 10 years between me and #3. I don't think it was real common then for women to have kids in their mid-late 30's. Almost all of my classmates had younger parents.

No lectures here. I think if everyone is honest, most all families have issues somewhere in the family tree they'd rather not share with the world.

 

I got a letter from the city today telling me to quit parking in my driveway after 36 years of parking there because it might block the sidewalk. Now I have to park in the street and take chance of getting sideswiped when the neighborhood drunks come home at night.

 

Fuck that. I'd tell them to move the sidewalk.

 

Its crazy how much our parents have an effect on us, even decades, or a half century later. We gotta move on some time, as hard as that may be. I hear you though, I don’t even think about my parents anymore. Got my own family to take care of.

 

Yep, I moved on when I was still a kid and did my own thing. I don't believe in dwelling, to the extent of self-pity, or using it as an excuse to be a dooshbag (which both my older brothers did), but,.....never forget.

 

Most likely an out of state transplant who moved into the neighborhood and is now complaining. They spend all their energy trying to change the neighborhood to suit their needs and then up and leave 5 years later.

That’s funny you mention your older brother. My older brother and my wife’s older sister are the exact same way in the sense that they both think their parents were just fine. My wife’s dad was a truck driver that ran drugs for the hell’s angels and her mom was a severe hoarder.

My wife and I both at a young age realized we needed to get the heck out of the toxic relationships of our parents.

Anyways, probably TMI. I think what my wife and I have learned is that most people are good examples of how not to act.

 

You forgot in terms of handheld games, the Nintendo Game Boy was far superior to the outdated Coleco football game and I say that with much disdain.

Only advantage is you could play at night with low to no visibility.

 

Horse hockey. Presumably your driveway is on your property. How the heck can the city tell you that you can't park on your own property. I would seek legal assistance before I would park my vehicle in the street.

 

Here people park on the sidewalks in front of their house and you need to walk in the street to get around them.

 

In the old hood where I grew up, it was all one way side streets with parking on both sides, only enough room for one car to pass down the middle and sidewalks on both sides of the street. People, including people with baby strollers, would walk in the street. Side walks wide open.
That pisses me off.

 

How about morons who go shopping while they’re pumping gas.

Get gas and then go park and get your road snacks.

I’m behind some dumb old lady waiting to get gas and she gets on her phone and while she’s walking in to the gas station her gas clicks off. Luckily the person in front of her filled up and left. I filled my tank and drove off and that dumb bitch was still inside. Mind you this is a country gas station with 4 pumps.

Now that stuff pisses me off! A selfish self-centered jackass who doesn’t give a rats ass if others are inconvenienced. This is the problem with the world; people like her.

Get your gas and then move your ass!
