You’re definitely right to a certain point, but different generations of people all experienced different things, such as technology or wars all at the same time, which gives them a different world view.

Speaking of cutting grass. Why to people cut their grass and blow it into the street? And why do they do it while the wife and I are out in the freshly washed and waxed convertible? Most people at least have the common decency to stop mowing as a car passes. Not all.

First time I've ever heard of this. I live on a busy street. If I did it your way, I'd wear out my mower and never get anything done.

Parents who blame social media for all the issues their children are having. Who is giving/paying for the smart phones their kids are using? Cut them off if they can't use them responsibly. Parents, for the most part, don't parent any more,.

Millenials are ruining the planet and it's the boomers' fault for raising them to be selfish little shits. Gen Z are a bunch of clueless idiots and it's the millenials fault for coddling them. It remains to be seen how fucked gen Alpha is.

Basically, people suck and I hate them.

Bloody hell, they don't call them the Silent Generation for nothing!
I'm going to hazard a guess that a lot of the miserable older scroats who get called boomers are actually Silent Gen - and some of the dirty old bastards are still breeding, Al Pacino I'm thinking of you. How selfish is it to breed a child that is likely to never remember their father?

I only just learned my parents were part of the “silent” generation, which makes a lot of sense since there are things I still learn about them today from other people.

Does this make anyone angry? My wife and I were laughing so hard at this. Like the PAWG of trucks. Those fender flares stick out so far.

Keepin’ his tires in the shade.

I'm a boomer and agree that its pretty ignorant to blanket chastise any group because of when they were born, like they had any say in it. That being said, my childhood was pretty great in the age before the internet and cellphones, we played and rode our bikes outside all day with our friends, and were expected home when the streetlights came on. Simpler times indeed that some might mock, but I really enjoyed it. :)

I was born in 1980 and besides Nintendo we pretty much played outside all day. Now that I think about it, I don’t think we were allowed back inside the house during the day except for lunch. We drank water from the hose and collected Garbage Pail Kids trading cards.

    Nintendo....

You missed the golden era of the Commodore Vic 20 w/games on tape drive (cassette); followed by the Commodore 64 which had an option for a real 5 1/4" floppy disc drive (for an additional $349 that no one could afford)

My friend's parents had money, and they had one of the original Apple home computers (black screen w/green letters); we'd play Ali-Baba and Castle Wolfenstein during sleepovers.... (this was before the Vic-20 and C64s came out )
