My 2006 Double Cab 4.7L not cranking all the time with 330,000. Get clinking sometimes.
    Did the following:
Repalced Starter, Battery 890cca, Starter relay, Ignition switch, Key Switch, Battery Terminals, Transmission neutral safety switch.
Checked cables (Good), cleaned all grounds, applied Dielectric grease to all contact points after cleaning.
Adjusted Transmission Neutral Safety Switch. Alternator charging good.
Still having trouble. Looking for more ideas. Thanks

Not alot of options left. starter brushes? Any corrosion on the wires? Does it fail to start after sitting?

any of the wires get warm when trying to start?

Runs great once it cranks. Old starter did same thing as brand new one.
I'm not able to turn key and hold the wires.
I'm going to put a new ground from the battery to the engine block. The factory has it on the side of the aluminum transmission. Poor design.

I'm sorry but I don't see anywhere you list your engine.

There are two temp gauges next to each other on the V8 which I assume you have, but dunno: One that goes to the gauge cluster, the other feeds the ECU. Some have found the truck won't start if the one that goes to he ECU is faulty. Only other thing I'd check is the crank position sensor wiring to make sure the timing belt didn't nick it? Other than that I'm at a loss.

Some dudes posting here w/probs have found clicking during start with no turnover is due to corrosion inside the battery cables.

I think it was @BubbaW who posted the starting chain, all circuits involved with starting. The 'So you think you...' sticky thread has links to the FSM if you want to reference it for starting issues.
