Crutchfield doesn’t make an adapter harness or are you just trying to save money?

What an asshole. Time to hit the junkyard and buy a new harness. And your buddy isn't a "buddy". He's a fucking asshole, and you should make him pay for the replacement harness and install. Do you know which of the three systems your truck had? Was it an amplified stereo system?

I wouldn’t be able to tell you how to hook into the existing amp, but if the radio has its own amp, you could just run the wires to the speakers or use your own external amp via any pre-amp out. The latter would be preferable unless your speakers have high sensitivity.

Okay, now I think I understand. You need the amp because it apparently isn’t built into the factory radio. I was under the impression you had an aftermarket radio.

So you have it connected based upon the PIN numbers and colored wires I assume but the amp itself isn’t giving you adequate power for the speakers? Are the TX+/- and IVO+/- the only signals not connected?

Correct I don't know what the TX+/- wires do and same with the IVO what is the main power source to turn on the amp what wire is that and what is the signal wires That's why I'm all confused and being half color blind don't help

You may also want to post a link to this thread in the audio section where someone might be more familiar with the OEM radio wiring.

If that’s the case you may be able to just ignore those signals in question since I’m guessing their specific to the OEM radio setup working with the OEM external amp.

It should work, you have 85 watts per channel x 4 channels. You may need your own external amp if it doesn’t drive the speakers hard enough but the sound shouldn’t be weak. You’ll definitely need an amp for any subwoofer.

The factory amp can get bypassed in the install. If your asshole buddy didn't cut the wires going into the amp you may be able to get a harness to work there.

If you wanted to keep all the rear seat/factory amp/steering wheel controls you'd need to get an interface module. That's why it's not working properly as you have it. The TX wires are data communication between the head unit and other modules.

Metra I believe makes repair harnesses for the factory side wiring, instead of playing poke and pray with it I'd get the repair harness and then whatever adapter harnesses you need to make it all work. It's probably going to run you another $200 to get all the proper doodads to get there.

No the factory amp needs the signals from the factory radio or an interface module to function.

The factory JBL amp was a 6 channel amp in my 06 DC Limited with rear seat entertainment. Your aftermarket head unit is a 4 channel set up. Bypass the factory JBL amp.

The 6 channels on my JBL amp were 2 channels front tweeters, 2 channels front door mid and sub speakers, and 2 channels rear door speakers.

If I were you, I would consider the Crutchfield items shown in below link. It is a cart I created given 2005 Tundra DC with present system having Rear Amp and JBL Speakers. Subtract Boss radio that’s listed and order the rest from Crutchfield. They will answer any and all questions you may have via email if necessary. Basically same package I got when doing my 04 DC LTD via JBL speakers .

As they recommend, you need to consider replacing your stock 2 ohm speakers if still present with 4 ohm.

The $25 ready harness they make for you plugs into Boss radio harness and other end plugs into amp bypass harness cable. Run the amp bypass harness via driver side channel to present amp. The output cable of present amp that go to speakers plugs into the remaining end of amp bypass cable.

Out shopping, best I can do for now. Will comment later about IVO signal your concerned about since it has nothing to do with the original OEM radio. Any and all pics above referencing Navigation or video are wrong drawings you need to be looking at. IVO+- was used if your 05 came with the New Feature radio that was a Navigation AV radio and those signals were for turn-by-turn direction guidance.
