Just shut down for the weekend. Whew. That was a gasser of a week, especially for only being four days.

Time for a happy hour drink followed by a hardware store run for mulch and yard crap. Then got some thick steaks for dinner. After the steaks come off the smoker, four pork butts are going in.

It’s going to be a weekend of weeding and smoking and none of it will be

 

Sounds like a damn good weekend!

I like dogs, but they stay below shoulder level.

 

My dog was like a kid to me. I shared my spoon with here when she was a pup. She loved vanilla ice cream, and would take food from a utensil like a lady. Zero regrets that I built those memories.

 

My mother in law is like that with her dogs. I find the different types of relationships people have with their pets to be fascinating. I grew up in a family where dogs were part of the family but still animals. I wouldn't swap saliva with a cat, horse or sheep. I'm not letting a dog lick my face or share a spoon with one (though I'd share my ice cream, but pupper gets his own spoon).
