Okay, for wheel spacers(1.25").... Spidertrax for $189(before taxes) for 4 and free shipping OR Bora for $220(before taxes) for 4 with free shipping?

That's the same thing I've come up with. I don't know if spidertrax offers a warranty or not but when i was on the phone with a Bora rep he said they have a lifetime warranty on their spacers.

Both CNC machine the spacers out of 6061T6 billet aluminum in the USA. Both kits include 2 wheel spacers, 10 metric M14x1.5 wheel studs (pre-installed) and 10 M14x1.5 lugnuts.

    Spidertrax
    • Kit comes with thread locker.
    • Anodized in dark blue, which is a double anodizing process for twice the corrosion resistance.
    Bora
    • Not sure if the kit includes thread locker?
    • Annodized black. Doesn't mention if its single or double anodized?

I've had Spidertrax and never had any issues with them...along with many others. Although, you can probably say the same for Bora

I'm going to go with Spidertrax after all. They will ship sooner than Bora(made to order) and they are a tad bit cheaper.

I will post up pictures once I get them on so it can be added to the original post. 3/1 spacer/block lift, black TSS wheels, 295/65/20 nitto trail grapplers(35's) and the 1.25" spacers when I get them. Maybe some day I'll get new wheels but for the time being the TSS wheels look good. :Dtundra 11.jpg

So if stock measurements with the 275/65R18 wheels 6.85 BS +60 offset

Just as long as I don't go wider than 275, any BS < 6.85 should work with no rubbing or mods........is that correct?

    Got 3/2 leveling kit on a 2015 SR5 crewmax

Anyone out there who've heard of someone slapping on after market wheels and tires with a 6" back space?

I only ask because 4whelparts and another well known 4x4 shop mechanics says otherwise. Sime mechanics havent heard of doing anything higher than 5.5. Am i missing something. Yet the method wheel manufacturer says it should fit with no problem just as long the footprint ain't to huge.

I really dig the 4Runner Pro wheel. I wish they did those or something equally as cool for the Pro Tundra.

Big rig, take a look at this thread I started a while back. I forgot about it until this morning, but I think you will be happy. This truck has a 4 inch lift, 305 55 20s and 20x9 wheels. They have a +50 offset. I think you would be fine with a 25 or 35 offset and not be past the legal limit for your wheels sticking out. If you had a 25 offset, you could do 295 55 20s with no problem. I will say this, 20 inch tires cost a lot more than 18 inch tires. I personally prefer the look of 20s, but I've seen a lot of good looking 18 inch setups. Hope this helps man.

Thanks for the link. I feel much better about this. I still don't know why these mechanics think that the offset of 30-35 and BS of 6" is too much and won't work. If stock is even higher.

Are backspace and offset specs universal. Meaning that from brand to brand, for instance if a fuel wheel and a method wheels have the same back spacing and offsets will they sit the same on a truck. I know tire to tire is different because measurements or estimates.

Yes the backspace and offset are universal as they should be real measurements from the center of the wheel.

Not entirely true. Backspacing is always a true measurement off the back face of the wheel. Offset is dependent of the wheel width. Meaning a 18mm offset on an 8" wide wheel does NOT have the same backspacing as an 18mm offset with a 9" wheel.

So just as long as the wheels I'm comparing are both 9" and they both have a backspace of 5.9 and offset of +25 (275/70R18 tires) they should both stick out or align with fenders.......technically.

Does this sound like it'll work. Fill in tire well with no mods or rubbing?

Leveling kit 3" Front 2" back
    18x8.5 Backspace 5.93 offset +30 with 275/70R18

I would personally go wider on the tire. Thats stock width and only a tad taller, going to look small with 3" of lift. Even my 295/70/18's dont look that large and just barely fill the fender wells with a similar offset.
