That’s exactly what I want to do to my midnight black Tundra. I was worried about the red colors being different between the TRD letters and TUNDRA letters. Those look good. Do you have the part numbers by any chance?

 

Dunno if I should post this here but I’m waiting for delivery of my new Platinum. Already have the rear box step, black chrome tail pipe, predator steps, black out front emblem, smoked tail light covers, and vinyl decals to add some accents to certain areas. Also plan on picking up up some wheel well mud guards, tonneau cover, light bar, tint, and tires. Ugh… ALL THE THINGS! Pictures will be coming…

Lol!! I for one like the way you use your truck, I use mine as well but you Sir are a madman!!

 

um i think the plat comes with a dark chrome tip. mine did and its not in the option block of the window sticker.

also dont get the oem mud flaps if you intend to go with aftermarket wheels, they dont cover enough to be useful. they barely are useful at oem setups.

 

Chief D just go to there web site and order the flat red. They offer it in gloss red or Satin Red…Pick the satin red. It’s very easy you will see.
On some things they only offer one red and if that’s the case it’s the Satin Red…Agree with you don’t go gloss red. I originally had gloss black on front were it says Tundra and like everything in gloss black it showed scratches over time…

I didn’t know you had 37s on it. What lift kit do you have on it? Makes it look way different than mine having the same rims.

 

Yesterday I got a Veepeak ODB adapter to use Carista and I got a wireless charger to mount in the center console. Today I hopefully pick it up from the dealer. It came off the truck last night:

 

Took her in to get the 5k maint(tire rotation) and the recall for the blanking screen done. All done.

 

Wash, claybar and 2 coats of Adam's Graphene Ceramic spray. Couple road trips and birds and bugs did a number on it.

I read that remote start is a subscription? Will this bypass that?

 

key fob remote start is not a subscription.

 

Let me know how the install goes. I’m considering getting them cause of the Takeover option but I want to wait for it to be full plug and play like there older gen kit.

I’ve seen they are local to me so I want to see if they can do the 2 part programming if I bring it in, so to make it a 1 day job. I had their kit for my 2019 4Runner and it shipped out from the next town over.

They claim it will not shutdown the engine when you open the door! I am very interested to see how well this works.

What are the bases called that you have for your rack system? I have a Lear topper on order but I was going to get my own racks separately there, Thule yes? What bases are those? Maybe can you take an up close picture that would be awesome. Thank you looks great.

 

Thule makes some great racks. The cover will need to work with them and if you have a rack that drops down, it might need to go into the bed so the cover will need to allow that. I did a fixed height ontop of my DB cover. I made some shims to mount the feet to a flat surface. Works great for the kayaks.

 

Could you take a picture looking into the bed with the cover collapsed? I want to get an idea of how much those slats poke into the bed space

Finished the chrome delete on my 22 limited off road. I think it cost me around 1,600$

 

I recognize those military issue poncho liners!!!!!!!

 

I did full decontamination, Meguiar's hybrid paint coating and Adams graphene glass coating. The truck is slippery and shiny now.
