Stopped in a local bottle shop and they had just received their Pliny allocation of... one case. Bottled nine days ago, so nice and fresh. I was only allowed to buy one bottle. So lame.

Pours hazy with a very small head. Taste is definitely a tart peach flavor at the end with a bit of sour. Smells as labeled.

Yes, I grabbed a pumpkin beer in August.
Pours a small head and dark as most porters do.
Small hints of pumpkin aroma, but not many spices and more of a roast Porter style

    IMG_4205.jpg

@Sean266 ready reviewed so I won't go into too much detail. But from my POV, peach flavor is light, but cinnamon and all spice comes thru in the nose and palette. Has those fall smells and flavors that keep you coming back for more sips. Awesome choice @rons23 and might have to send you a check for more once September rolls around LOL!

That looks good - wonder if I can get it out west. Gonna have to hit up Lee's and see what they have. I really like tasting all the fruit/citrus beers. I thought this was decent and was my latest one i picked up.

Pours a dark brown/hazy color with a pumpkin pie spice taste and small hint of cinnamon with maybe a light taste of vanilla.

    Aroma of pumpkin spice.

Overall, not overly pumpkin and a great tasting beer!

    Final beer from @rons23 :(

    IMG_4218.jpg

Great ale! Did not pick up on the blackberry, but beer color did have a blue hue (probably can see in the pic). For only 12 IBU, the hops were noticeable, just the right amount as I do like some bitterness but not to the point of an IPA. Not a lot of discernible notes that I could pick up, but it went down smooth and would definitely drink again.

It's a porter, it's thick. Has that distinct chocolate aroma that most porters have. Coconut comes thru a little bit, but for me, the taste comes thru as alcohol (like a spirit). It's aged in bourbon barrels and that's probably why and it takes away from the coconut taste. Will be a good beer in the fall with a fire pit :D

I was disappointed with that one. I bought it expecting a stronger coconut taste.

Yep. I think the aging in bourbon barrels erased the coconut flavor. They should have used rum barrels.

Nothing to write home about. It's a Saison, and that is it. No cherry flavor or smell whatsoever. Mostly bitter and I'm sure the bitterness will come out more as it warms up. Wouldn't buy again.
