    Hi

Just saw your message on full ppf. I am going in for tint and ppf this week and can't decide between front end ppf and full ppf. What was your reason for full ppf? I am in socal so rocks and winter crap does not play a role but I will go on desert trails and was thinking what a pain it would be if I brush against thorny bushes along the way. What was the tint percentage you went with?

For me, I decided for PPF was a must. I live on a mountain and every time it snows tree limbs hang down And rub on the truck I didn’t want that, I figured it was a large investment and I wanted to protect it the best I could. I went with XPEL and I am thrilled with the product and the job the company did. They had it for about a week which was a painfully long wait but it was well worth it. The cost to do window tent and PPF was going to be $7100 but I trade it off work with the owner and now I basically owe 3900 for the entire job. So trust me when I say this I am thrilled with the cost as well and the work they did was phenomenal. I should also mention I looked at 4 reputable dealers and got quotes for all the same services so it would be apples to apples and all were within 15% of each other on price. Keep in mind though this is Portland, I am pretty sure costs in other cities would be lower most likely.

Window tint, I went 35% on both side windows so obviously going over the Stock tint on the back windows that would make it darker I don’t remember what it ended up being. Then on the top sunroof and the front window I went with 55%. This ended up being a very good decision because it’s not too dark at all, in fact I would like to go one shade darker on the Front and back Driver and passenger doors. I am still debating that, because I like how it looks now and I still get light which I want but at the same time I don’t want somebody looking through my windows thinking they can break in and steal something.

Anyway my advice is pretty much what everybody else has said from time to time on here, look for the best installer you can find and then go with a product that you have researched and like. That was Xpel For me. Good luck

Just saw on Toyota.com that a non-TRD Pro 2024 Tacoma appears to be in Solar Octane... :(

That's normal. Pro colors trickle down to the lower trims after the first year as an exclusive.

Do we know what color will be exclusive for 2024 for TRD Pro?

Nope. Pro color won't be announced for a couple months per the Taco info.
