My beer fridge has been sitting in the garage unplugged for a few years. When the house fridge was replaced, the old fridge went to the pool house as the new beer fridge/deep freeze. It's much much bigger than my little beer fridge ever was.

 

I had to run into the Valley today, but took a brisk beach walk this morning before leaving and ran into this creature! Quick photo w/a dirty cell phone lens, so sorry about the quality... but, it was pretty cool this guy let us get so close especially with a couple of dogs in tow

I'm hiring someone to do the ceiling and walls.
It takes them a few hours but it would take me all weekend just for 1 room..
It's the only room that I haven't painted in the 16 years we've lived here.
I've painted EVERY other room, at least once, some twice.

 

Nice work! It's not easy to display art and accept criticism, on any level. Good for you. I don't know if it would interest you or not, but something I was taught long ago, that's not only helpful in practice, but interesting as it helps you learn more about your own style, is to do it again. Like put that one away, and never look at it for reference. Not even once. Look at your original model/pic, and paint until it's complete, again. Then pull out the first one and compare side by side. Just throwin it out there, but if you do try it, be sure and show us.
Or if you don't, and continue pumpin out fresh paintings, keep sharing them please. Especially if you answer the requests for neked ladies. Was there a poll on that that I missed, cuz that would be a +1 for me

Coors "Banquet" is only brewed here in Golden with mostly Colorado sourced ingredients. Pretty darn decent actually.

Nope. I painted one room and it had runs and splotches, told the wife it brings out the rooms character. The was the last time she asked me to paint a room, we have since had contractors do it.

 

Thanks Rusty, never considered doing a second painting of it and is an excellent suggestion! I can see how that would help identify my style and technique.

I started a new picture yesterday. Last year a needed an implant for one of my teeth and my dentist who is a good friend of my son ended up not charging me for the work he did. I snapped a photo of his front door of his business when I left. An old Victorian door with decorative planters on both side, his business sign with the sun and shadows running across the scene. Figured he might appreciate that as a thank you. Will see how that turns out.

 

We visited the Golden facility when we were kids. There was a dead sheep or goat and a tire in the water next to the building. Coors has been a hard pass ever since.

 

Hell, higher up Clear Creek you might find a dead elk or moose in the water and old miner bones. Good thing Coors gets their water from here and not directly from the creek.....

There are eave vents and non-powered roof vents.
They just don't seem to do much ventilating other than the hot air rising..

Art is tough
What draws someone in will turn someone else away. My mom uses painting as a therapy to keep her mind off the constant pain of the different diseases she is fighting - over time the detail in her work has declined, but she sells as many now as she ever has, even having people commission her to paint their pets.

I like the lake scene. The trees, the coloring reminds me of a late summer sunset.
something about the table feels “off” - perhaps a little out of place. The perspective doesn’t carry quite right with the rest of the scene. It’s close, but just not quite there.
Way more talent than I’ve got for sure. Keep at it!

 

Squatch is indigenous to the NW. I dunno what forest creature lurks around the PA woods, but yes…something needs to be creeping in the distance.
