Great cover. I might be selling mine - currently working on a trade for a HV Platinum 6.5 bed.

@Carolina Peej are you talking about the roll up hardcover Revolver X4s? Or perhaps the older X4? The MX4 was the tri-fold I thought.

I am looking at both but saw you had trouble so I was curious.

I want to give a big shout out to @SantanaRealtruck for some stellar customer service and a great price on the RetraxPro XR.

My first Retrax was damaged in shipping. Stuff happens.. These things are huge, heavy, and not the easiest to ship. What truly does mater is that within an hour, waiting in my inbox was tracking for a new cover. Above and beyond on the customer service response. The second cover arrived unscathed. Could not be happier with the end result. I even hit it with the pressure washer a few times expecting at least some leakage, although there is little to no water penetration. The tailgate would stick at first, although I applied some weather stripping conditioner to the rear seal and that did the trick. The tailgate now release remotely, or when manually opened without sticking on the seal. Another thanks to all of you that contributed to this thread. It took a whole lot of reading, a lot of back and fourth, and eventually I settled on the Retrax. Although the RetraxPro XR was much more than I originally planned on spending, I am glad I spent the extra money.

Here's a picture of the end result. I'll post some pictures with the Thule cross bars installed in the coming weeks as I have time.

So I have had issues with my MX4 and bakflip is offering me a different cover. Which cover should I ask for, the F1 or fibermax?

Hauled back 30 bags of compost and one bale of wheat straw. The extra fold up to the cab on the UltraFlex helped make it easier to load. After all the compost was loaded I was able to
Fold it back down the panels and strap the bale of straw to the compost behind the panels. The truck did great on the way back. It didn't even feel like I was loaded down.

I have the ultraflex cover and today was the first day it was in the rain. Water leaked in from the front of the cover by the back window and right side of the last section of the trifold area. I know these things aren’t suppose to be waterproof but that seemed like a lot of water: anyone else’s leaks like that too?

install is everything on these , try and look for daylight when it’s closed and see if it’s misaligned somewhere

Mines is pretty tight. I mean technically there’s only two bolts in the front that actually attaches it and lines it up. Can’t really make it any tighter with this two front brackets. It was leaking in between the folds not just on the edges where it makes contact with the truck

My UltraFlex has been great. I haven't seen a drop of water get inside.

Can you send some pics of the cover, how it’s attached and lined up, if you don’t mind. I followed instructions but just want to compare it to yours.

I reinstalled the rails on my mx4 and there is significantly less water. It rained pretty good the other day and no water. I went through a car wash yesterday and there was water as to be expected but not bad.

One thing that I noticed when I installed the cover the first time is that my rails were not far enough forward. The instructions tell you to set them back 1" from the bed. I think you should ignore this. Push the rails as far forward as possible. If you are leaking because the cover is not forward enough this could be the issue. The rails must be as far forward as possible if they are not then the front clamps (bottom picture) will hit the water collector with the tube on it when you try to clamp the cover in the correct position. So if your leaking because your cover is not forward enough this could be it.

The other possible problem is that the front edge of the composite bed is not straight. If you look at the first picture below you can see that my bed is bowed in. However the seal still seems to work. But if yours is bowed more than this it could be an issue.

Yes I went through 2 covers which bak stood behind for damaged issues not leaks, the ones that are leaking due to the fact that the drain tubes are very small diameter and when a lot of water hit the rails they will overfill the drain hole and seep over the sides thus water comes into the corners of the bed, you will need to install larger drain tubes to make sure large amounts of water flow away quickly.

Thank you. Yes mines are bowed in as well, but seal still covers the edge. Will try to re adjust them tomorrow

It's because it wasn't installed properly, filp the cover completely up, then take a cup of water and pour it down the drain rail. If it is too much, it will over flow the small tubes and leak out around the drain spout itself.

Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.

The Bakflip version of the OEM cover would be a very versatile cover. I have OEM and work from my truck daily with the tonneau cover in various positions of open or closed.

Ordered a rough country hard cover 5/1, they just told me it's backordered until 6/1, so I cancelled my order.

Whats something comparable that's in stock somewhere? I need it asap.

Got my Diamondback a week and a half ago and installed it that next weekend. Forgot to order extra cleats. Ordered them last weekend and got them on Wednesday. Instaled them on Sunday. First big upgrade.

I should have ordered a toolbox with mine, now the shipping for a toolbox is crazy expensive! Great covers!

Retightened the rails again. Moved the rails towards the front as much as they can go. Front clamp is right by the drain tubes. Tried to center the cover as much as possible. Still see some light in the front corner from the inside. Can’t move the cover any more forward to block the lights since then the back is going to be barely over the tail gate. We’ll see how it does in the water test
