its not a toyota part, I did not paint it.

Its an overlay from eBay, its perfect fit and appearance.

I would not want the grill painted, lol, that would look odd. The dark chrome grill looks really good once you color match and cover the emblem, IMO.

Fantastic looking truck. I've got a blueprint/saddle 1794 that will be here in a month and I'm already tired of waiting.
How are you liking the suspension so far? I thought it was great on the test drive.

the ride is awesome, simply awesome. The AVS really is nice, can dial comfort when I want, sport when I want, etc. I usually just drive around in normal and then when I hit long county highway or interstate, I go comfort. hit Sport+ a few times as well :burnrubber:

Congrats on the truck. It is nice to see more 3rd gen owners really loving their new trucks. My big hangup is how Toyota went backward on ground clearance, turn radius, visibility, and hood length. What are your thoughts on those aspects of the new truck vs your old? Might make more sense to circle back to that idea after the honeymoon wears off. Congrats, again!

Thanks, I like it a lot more than I thought I would. We'll see if that holds true as time goes along and hopefully I continue to have no issues. The build quality is significantly better than the earlier 2022 I test drove, so thats a big step in the right direction. I purposely waited until I saw the most issues get resolved and toyota to get lots of builds done to iron things out.

I dont off-road so some of that stuff you mentioned I don't particular care about like ground clearance and longer front overhang. They do make a TRD Lift now which would address that I suppose , but I have 0 interest in lifts and huge load e tires and all that type of thing anymore.

The turning radius, while on paper is larger, I really dont notice it so far parking and moving around, etc, so I think Im good with that.

As far as visibility and hood length, maybe for off-roading that would matter more, but since Im rather tall I don't ahve any issues, love the HUD and camera systems, etc. Overall, for me anyways, it seems like a GIANT leap forward from my 2016 tundra, its just so much smoother, quieter, rides 100% better and is just overall more comfortable and enjoyable to drive. The 10-speed is really nice, would be cool to drive a 2.5 Gen 5.7 with this behind it to compare, but the TT motor seems to have a lot more easy to use torque down low, it just pulls everywhere.

We'll see if anything changes as time goes along, but for now, I don't really miss the old girl, I got tired of 300 lbs of sand in the back just to have even a half way decent ride.

I gained over 200lbs of payload as well, in some ways 500 lbs since I dont need the sand.

Fantastic. Your summary is exactly what I'm hoping for.
Really good report on the ADV package.

ya the advanced package was a must for me, not buying it without it.

the power bed step is awesome for those of use who aren't 20 anymore, and love the automatic power side steps. The AVS is great, HUD is cool. I have not had a chance to try out the air suspension yet, haven't taken my boat out yet.

I really like the pre-delivery work you did on your truck.
Why the change of tires and what did you use for the grill surround?

The stock tires were just too small and looked like minivan tires . These are larger and look decent and are ATs but still p rated and 33” so they ride great and are not much heavier at all. They just look so much better and fill the wheel well better.

the grill surround was ordered new parts that could be painted and those were sent out with the truck and a professional body shop did the grill surround, fender flares, and rear spoiler

color match is dead on nuts

And thank you for the kind words!!

only problem i have with the new hood is the valleys. it royally sucks to clear snow out of them when cleaning the hood after anything greater than 1" snowfall.

Gorgeous! I have the blueprint 1794, but went with chrome accents. Including chrome back tailgate TUNDRA letters. Love yours, too, though! Great-looking ride.

I went with a Blue/Saddle too. I should have it in 3 weeks. I think the platinum is better looking but I've had several monochrome or black trim cars in a row with black interior. I really like the saddle interior for a change of pace.
Now I just need to get the truck. I'm backed up on projects.

I had very good luck with those tires on my 4Runner TRD Pro. Good all around tire for light off-Roading, Snow, excellent hard surface traction and low noise.

So you have 3 key fobs? I'm still waiting on my spare/second one to get delivered because of the "chip shortage". I got mine November 2022, but the key fob itself hasn't arrived yet.

The more I drive this thing the more I like it so far, Toyota did an excellent job with the platinum interior, blue ambient lights and blue stitching is sharp

the ceramic tint everywhere is really awesome , never had that on the windshield and moonroof especially

got my coating put on by the dealer, they washed, clay bar, etc and then put it on as part of purchase.

it looks damn good, paint looks and feels really nice.

also had them adjust the rear air suspension per the TSB to raise it up a touch, they did that no problem

gave me a loaner, etc no charge,

    good stuff, blueprint rules, HA

We have it on our Sienna and when it's clean, it's really pretty. Just sucks to keep clean. Almost as bad as black, but blue is far superior.

I have Blazing Blue Pearl now. Hoping they come out with a lighter shade, but IDK how it would look on this body design.
