Run a piece of 1” tubing from your airbox to inside the cab and you will have some additional whine, although a bit cheesy. That’s basically all the Foster SC mod is lol.

still in the shop :) slight delay due to the tech having a death in the family. i told the shop to take their time, dont worry about the truck and when he gets back, do the job right and not rushed.

its gonna be a stage 2 with the 80mm pulley, 650 injectors and upgraded fuel pump, doing a full stainless works headers and exhaust as well. radium catch can, CSF radiator, AFR and boost gauge will be installed as well when i get the truck back.

and yes it will be tuned by the shop. but im also looking at other tuners here locally and see which one i like.

This is interesting to me...I have all that less the headers.

I'm stoked to see the results.

so...you are using the stock intake & box?

Harrop whine is subdued - at best.

    it's more of a gentleman's whine.

i basically followed your build man when you messaged me in the inbox haha. i postponed the traction bars for now. I am going with SDHQ, but thats more of a want, rather than a need. maybe il do tranny cooler first or upgrade the valve body.

i have the TRD airbox. thats still considered basically stock right?

Good question but I doubt it would do anything run to the outside. The whole idea is letting the sound have a direct path in to the more confined and quiet cab. The airbox already has big openings to the outside and is not loud from outside, so I doubt a 1” tube would do much. I also may not be understanding the science of it though so maybe I’m wrong.

right on...I want to see if you max out the MAF with the headers, since more air will be processed.

I think the TRD airbox inlet is a smidge larger...others will confirm.

yes it is a smidge larger but not by much at all. very negligible.

one of the tuning shops i was talking to said i will definitely max my MAF with the TRD airbox. and will adjust the afr a bit because the increased airflow will lean her out by a tad bit. he also recommended prospeed airbox. i always thought headers will make engines run rich. learn new stuff everyday haha

I have a lx570 and love it. It has a hydraulic suspension so none of your suspension stuff will transfer but I don’t think you’ll need it. It hustles pretty good for a big girl around corners. Ours has factory 21’s and those do much for the ride quality. But I’m getting old. There’s a few peeps that have put the superchargers in them.

    Just thinking out load...

I don't max the MAF unless I'm way up in the RPM's and under load. which is like seeing a rainbow colored unicorn.

    so why don't I just get the 75mm pulley? because I rarely go past 5k rpm's. @Silver17

I only pull from 3k to 5k...by that time, I'm way past 65mph.

ive never gone past 5k rpm actually haha. maybe i will with the harrop installed. but id like to think my driving habits have matured over the years compared to when i was younger. my pulls are mainly on freeway on ramps and wide open highways when no one is around. +15 tops over the speed limit and drive defensively. too many idiot drivers in vegas already. they dont need me haha

il keep you posted on the maf with the headers. hopefully i get the truck this weekend or early next week.

So I was mistaken, the Level 10 transmissions have been using old parts in their builds. The IPT transmissions should be fine.

IPT has a 10% sale going right now. If the wife was not on maternity leave I’d probably be doing the VB.

What does theirs cost? Didn’t see it listed on their page. They’re good there at Prospeed but I do wonder what they’re doing to the VB that IPT doesn’t do, who has been specializing in just transmissions for a really long time. I’m just wondering there is a reason IPT doesn’t do it the way PS does. There isn’t many tested miles on the PS VB.

Work basically...Last November I was given my notice that end of September they're letting go my whole department (5 years there). I started all this build and Jeep build before knowing that, with the intent to try and take truck to the truck to auction and sell Jeep. Jeep is taking it's time to sell, and the truck is out of commission till who knows when. Just trying to set myself up so that i don't have any money issues when/if time comes due.

So If I can get the truck back and sold, I'm going into something where I don't have a car payment. Something under $20k

Gonna drop my LinkedIn profile here. Been a Data Center tech/engineer for last 10 years. If you know anyone hiring point me to em. I'll know for sure in our June meeting if they'll be extending our employment or not

The basic TRD intake is 3.60” ID. I had it and measured it. My Magnuson intake is 3.86” ID which should measure the same as the TRD intake included with the TRD supercharger kit. Different parts, part numbers and diameters.

I have to stop spending all of my money on the tundra for a bit so i can get my poor car back on the road for the summer. It's been on jackstands for two years now. I have all the parts i just need to put the trans back together and stick it back into the car. This was quite the loud bang. :bananadead:IMG_7431.jpg IMG_1803.jpg IMG_1810.jpg IMG_7438.jpg

My OEM radiator went out around 100k miles, the passenger side was doing some pretty serious seeping where the plastic met the aluminum. The radiator shop that did the work said that it is not an uncommon failure point and that it happens more often in trucks that drive fast over uneven terrain and hit large bumps. I don't think any tabs were broken. They said a high quality all aluminum radiator will hold up better.

Are you saying that OEM radiators hold up better than aftermarket radiators that are made like OEM but cheaper ? Or are you saying high quality all aluminum radiators fail more often than OEM? Is there a brand that you have seen fail more often than others?

Im saying from Offroad fast driving over many bumps and airtime the aftermarket non oem's have noticed not held up that I have seen. You could say I drive hard Offroad along with the other tundras that I know. All have gone back to oem radiators.
