Im lost. Your dad traded his best gen for a Prius or he traded his Prius for a best gen?

I bought this Tundra for my dad a couple of years ago, and have been fixing/mangling it up. He also owns a newer Prius. His driveway has two mid 80's Toyota trucks filling it, so he is short on space. Therefore, either the Prius or the best gen are in my driveway on an alternating basis. My wife complained about it early on, but that stopped when she got her Navigator. The extra car has proven useful when her shit-box is in the shop.

The guy who owns one knows that's true because he's needed another vehicle before.

Don't they have that 'powered by angels' noise? i know the CRV hybrid, Prius & some others make a noise sounds like a chorus of angels singing.

We have that in the 2020 Highlander hybrid. Usually as you're parking. It's an interesting way of describing it, but it's like that and when you park it goes from a chorus to a WHAAAAAAANNNNNNNNGGGGGGG sound.

The new Tacoma looks nice in some of the pictures. Interesting new cab option.

Some of the new features include a sway bar disconnect. Remote reservoir c/o's. 33" tires. Even a snorkel on the top end model.

Manual transmission is an option too.

I don't agree that it looks good, but I'm not ready to fight about it. I like those options you described. Maybe it'll grow on me.

That picture is not flattering but I saw other models I thought looked nice. I tend to like the sharper angles and body lines. I think the 3rd generation Tundra is better looking than the Turd gens. Even with the @FrenchToasty Hulk Hogan grill. I've seen a few 3rd gens that look excellent.

I certainly don't want a twin turbo 4cyl though. I'm sure it will be insanely expensive.

One other feature I saw is that you can get on board air.

I don't like first year anything for a build or otherwise. But, there could be some hot 2 door builds coming down the road.

I just wish they'd put it out with a 4.0 v8, but it seems toyota is done with v8s. At least they have a stick. And you know damn well and good what I'd stick in that Xtra cab.
