Yeah, when I got my SR5 Premium I also had the option of getting a limited. Dealer went through every option and told me the only difference was a heated steering wheel, sun roof and 18" wheels. Never for a second did I think it would not have seat memory.

Thing is, you can get the heated steering wheel on SR5. I did. But after all the premium options packages I never even considered it would lack seat memory. It really isn't a big deal since I am the only driver and can get comfortable in many positions. But I always like the memory to keep a baseline. I didn't have a real choice for a higher trim at the time, especially for the color and 6.5 bed I wanted. There was just not much availability back in January.

i found this out back on my 2018 platinum. the oem black classic running boards where like a 595 option. but trying to piece meal the same option thru parts was like 1200 since it wasnt a full kit by it self.

there was a thread in the 2.5 gen where a person was doing just that. it got ugly in cost pretty quick. i think he ended up going aftermarket anyway for the same or cheaper.

This solved it for me. The CLICK was the difference from what I gathered as key in this video that I did not see in other videos.
I also set my key to my profile in my settings and that may have contributed.

Does anyone from Toyota monitor this forum ? I finally got the seats recalibrated seeing the video that showed moving them up down and waiting 1 second for a click. But does that make any sense? You spend $65k on a vehicle and you have to spend the evening researching why the seats don’t work? You complain to Toyota and they point you to technical experts at the dealer who don’t exist? This is my first Toyota but I expects lot more.

I think dealerships are dropping the ball on this. They should be doing this adjustment during the PDI.

However, in fairness to ours, we asked to scoop it up as soon as it touched down, so we did rush their process. (still though, do the seat calibration)

I didn’t spend the money to just swap out stuff.
Glad I searched for this topic, I was getting triggered. Did the all direction calibration and it works now. PDI tech definitely dropped the ball, they were more concerned with detailing it to make it look clean for somebody.

Are there any differnces between the various trim levels, in terms of registering the seat memory with a smart key? I didn't see any looking at the various specs of the models, but for reference I have a 23 TRD Pro.

While the memory seats adjust the my sitting position after I enter the vehicle and press the ON button, the manual seems to make it sound like once you unlock your door using a programmed key, it will start moving the seats before/while entering the vehicle, not when you press the ON button.

I have my key registered to my profile, and I also did the manual seat reset before programming the seat position. However, when I try to program the key fob, I don't think it stores it. The manual says to hold the seat position (lets say the 1-button for reference) and at the same time to press either the lock/unlock button on your remote, and you should get a 'buzzer' to sound. I never hear that buzzer.

So I'm not sure if this is user error, or if there is some setting that I need to turn on/off. Or maybe my seats already work properly?

I've attached screenshots of the pertinent pages from the manual

The seat adustment and memory were driving me crazy on my 2024 Tundra MAX I just purchased a couple of weeks ago. I finally found this thread and tried linking the key fob first and then did the "calibration" on the seats, moving them all the way in all ranges. I worked, thank god, was driving me nuts. I'm not sure about the mirrors just yet. I called my dealer, they new nothing about it, they said to bring it in to be serviced!!!!!!!!

Yikes. Find another dealer. They were supposed to do the calibration as part of the pre delivery inspection and they don't know about it? Ask them if they know they're supposed to change the oil filter during an oil change.:eek2:

My dealer didn't seem to know much about the Tundra. They had no idea the memory seat issue or the "key fob" issue was related to their not doing the PDI (or not doing it correctly). They had no idea why I couldn't get the 110v outlet in the back seat to work (that was a RTM thing as there is a switch under the steering wheel). They did not even find/fix two safety recalls when I took it in for the first service. I work in manufacturing where just about everyone in the world uses Toyota Quality Management principles to drive continuous improvement. I'm surprised none of that has made it to the Toyota Dealers!

I have tried this 100 times and can't get it to work. I made a slight adjustment to the steering wheel after the fob was initially registered. I now have to press 1 on the door to get to the desired setting rather than it being linked to the key fob. It is super annoying. I guess I need to just delete my user and try starting from scratch.
