I looked closely and did not see any damage or rubbing. Maybe a high spot on your rail?

Interesting they designed the guard and exposed the sway bar, guess sway bars don't need protection from the elements

No high spots. That's weird because it's on both of the covers they sent me. Is your metal not exposed like this?

Ahhhh! I see now. I took a look closely while in the folded position and flipped up. Yes I do have exposed metal, but it is rounded and de-burred. I can see how potentially the metal can cut into the rubber especially if the aluminum portion making contact isn’t smooth. No cuts or visible damage, for now. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the picture, that helps me see I'm not crazy. I am going to see if I can find a thin piece of foam to put over the edge that doesn't affect the closing.

Just added a busted windshield. Hit a turkey this morning on our way to the campground. Looks like an early Thanksgiving dinner in my future.

Just went to my local car stereo place.

Getting new kenwood excellion tweets for dash

Installing 2000w inverter/separate AGM batter behind back seat to get me 110 power and extra USB in back seat mounted where factory should have been. There will be an off off switch on the button console on dash since it’s its own system and won’t tax the truck battery.

It will also be able to run bed mounted 110 outlets later should I choose, however I’ll have DC power there anyway when my Leer topper comes in.

1300$ everything. ‍♂️ way cheaper than the 400w OEM set up. You’d need to pay up from TRD SR5 like $3000. Although I guess you’d get the 14” screen.

    Picked this up today…

    DDFA0856-16D8-4C95-82C6-595BCC5D52DC.jpg

    brought it home…

    1D3697B0-5C6F-48D3-8A21-067475026499.jpg

aaaand debadged platinum moldings. Used a bottle cap to hold the molding up and fishing line to cut the tape. Moved it forwards as I went.

    5B72E3B2-E11B-4E7D-B7D2-F1462DEB4A35.jpg

On the drivers side I started on the skinny side. Look a little to get the platinum badge up. Passenger side I started at the platinum badge at it went way faster.

    6481CEF1-B7FD-4170-82BE-3EE6B18C9E8A.jpg

I just pulled the tape every few inches and it pulled right off.

Just beautiful, definitely less is more in this case. I also don't like that fake vent badges on the I-Force Max hoods. Really so much cleaner without all this badging going on. The truck is easier to wash and keep clean without them.

Ways easier to clean - I agree... Problem with the Hood Badging is the holes in the hood if you remove them.

You will, who cares what others think. Also with the extra torque off the line consider it a sleeper.

added tvd vinyls @rrentrop to the rear and front. red on paper, more orange in reality once installed. at least they match the wheel color (candy red)

    added the wheel for comparison

just ordered some rek gen sport mud flaps for the tundra. oem mud flaps are solely lacking if you are using anything but oem wheels and tire sizes.

    set of 4 @ $155 plus $11.50 shipping.

discount code used for 10% off ($15.50) : mudflaps

I replaced the OEM TRD skid plate and installed the RCI skid plate today. To be honest, the install wasn't as smooth as I had hoped. Between my lift kit and the CBI bumper, I had to change up the skid plate mounting. RCI's website says their skid is compatible "...with all 1-3″ coilover lift kits..." so I assumed they had taken into consideration the sway bar drop that most kits include. If you have the OEM TRD 3" lift, like @Eurodriver, you can install the plate above the sway bar (same as the OEM TRD skid plate). He has pics showing that. However, if you have a lift that uses a 3/4" drop bracket (like Icon) then you still need to use additional spacers, just like with the OEM TRD Skid Plate.

I won't rehash everything in this post since the solutions are a little niche vs being applicable to everyone. So, I'll link the post from my build thread if you want to read more details and see more pics. If you have the full CBI bumper, you might check out my post before you pull the trigger on this.
