    Honestly? Couple things.

285 is definitely a concern from a MPG and pedal response standpoint, and gauge/mileage accuracy (I don't wanna yellow-box). I'm lucky to push 13mpg these days and expecting a ~1mpg loss in fuel economy at 285, that's close enough to 10% to be concerning, I think.

I've got some fitment concerns with 285 also, for sure, but less knowing I'm in an AC and my wheel/tire fitment should be relatively close to yours if I went 285.

But more than any of the above, something Casper said lodged in my craw, about one of the tires I was looking at not being available in 275 or 285. So I went and looked at the Mickey Baja Boss, which I actually really like but wanted others to get some time on them (everyone seems happy/they're quite/good wear/good manners/good longevity so far).

When I started looking more closely to pull the trigger by EOW, I noticed for Mickeys, only the Baja Legend comes in 275, not the Baja Boss, although I had the Legend in my list too. The Toyo AT2 seems to've been disco'd, and I don't love the profile of the AT3, it doesn't have the tread profile I'd prefer and I think would look goofy as hell. And The more I dig, the more mixed reviews I keep seeing bubble up on the Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

My coilovers are supposedly pre-set for 2.5" lift front when installed, and that's the middle of their 1"ish of adjustability range (2"-3") unless I misunderstood things, which should be on-par with what your Icons are offering, so 285 should work if I mount my tires after lifting.

But! There's perks to going 275: I get instant gratification, I can slap my wheels on the day they're mounted and drive away and don't need to wait until I get a free weekend to install my UCA & COs.

So yeah, I think I'm basically in analysis paralysis at this point.

Whatever I get, the faux beadlocks on my wheels'll make the rubber look chunkier than it is, I think I can get away with throwing a 275 tire with semi-aggressive profile on there and it'll look close to a 285, but give me the added benefits off-road.

EDIT: But to that last point, as with your truck, 285 with faux beadlocks leaves you with a pretty chunky, more-rubber-than-wheel look too.

285's will look better than 275 in my opinion but 275's will still look good.

I don't think you'll have any fitment issues unless you want absolutely zero rub. Mine touch so lightly it's not an issue. Even wheeling in Arizona was fine.

MPG will suffer a little but has been worth it for me for the look I want. You and I drive so little, working from home, that it isn't a big impact. On my way back from Sedona I still got 17.8 and 17.5 MPG on a few tanks. Cruise set on 80mph. Worst tank I saw was around 14.9. My city mileage is terrible but so is everyone else's.

When i first moved here, i didnt have the trash & estate sale lawn furniture i have now, and needed to sit near my firepit with a beer, so i carved this up. Its been there for me for over 6 years, and was dead & rotten before i chose it.

today i promote it to a potted plant stand. Threw the belt sander at some of it, thought better of getting stain or sealer near it.

Got a feelin' a cactus cooler can be mixed with anything, including bourbon.

About 75/25 cactus cooler/buffalo trace. Good & sippable.

do a search and buy as much land as possible, you usually dont have to eff with all the bs at once, and as long as you dont get mail there they wont care where your at. Take the tax rate your mailbox is at. Easy breezy, so far.

setup that trailer and some canopy/shed/containers, or whateves, to spread out the sq.ft's. Then round down & party.

You can add solar sails or awnings, i can run wind and solar, but only cause im on top of the hill.

i know theres something sexy about a personal favela...

cactus cooler and fancy tequila is also a win. Sippable & delicious. Dinners made, & has bread involved, so i shouldnt die. But its special for me to make mixed drinks.

Waiting for him to break the news to you, the Subie came before the chick IIRC.

But after hearing what he got it for, I think he got the better end of the deal for a quick $2k-4k flip. **IF** he can let go of it :D

All I see is a Flintstone version of this, from the movie with a title that nicely fits the two trucks.
