I decided to add a strip of tint to the bottom of my windshield. I'm 6 3" so I made the strip just high enough to cover the glare off the front of the hood, 6 inches. most folks can make it a few inches shorter. On the outside it looks really tall due to the black strip at the bottom of the window. It works great. I also added this to the hood glare thread..............IOpTnFbMPdtpVTqP-Hhks3ZS75AGwo_p_SUqACQZ_6bae83baf0c24ae7cbdb16d4fddd8ec2c939f3ae.jpgPSzvi6DxTWsqz9tFebjKToD5ZaArKkaFUSMsRfRc_d1328f9686dba4585a559c5a6f45b86c7b143ef5.jpg

probably wouldnt work for those that have a hud and if there is a special insert to reflect the hud display on the inside windshield.

Make sure to check with your state’s laws. Most don’t allow tinting or decals below the AS1 line (upper right corner of windshield)

Might get an unwanted talking to from the popo

I'm planning to eventually wrap the angled/raised sections on either side of the hood to eliminate the glare. That is, once someone releases a color-matched product for the '22+ Tundra..

I was going to post the same thing. IIRC no state allows tinting below that line, so the bottom of the windshield is an easy ticket.

I wonder if a flat or semi gloss clear vinyl would work on the entire hood or strategically applied in areas.

It definitely helps cut glare. The Taco TRD Pro has the decal for that reason. It's not a 100% solution, but certainly makes it better.

If you color match, isn't it still gonna reflect? If you do matte or satin, I think it'll look like a different color no matter what. Unless you find a color that matches without gloss, but then looks different when it's wet.

Satin should be enough to kill the glare, and as far as color matching, I'm not looking for perfection - I just don't want silly looking black strips up and down the hood.

You don't use hud due to polarized sunglasses so it shouldn't matter to you.

Reminds me of this picture I snagged of the craziest tint I've ever seen.
