Are there aftermarket low profile antennas available to replace the "shark fin" antennas that come standard on the 3rd Gen Tundras? I have an RTT and I want to move the tent over the cab, but I hate the idea of having it 4" above the cab to clear the shark fin antenna.

Any info or suggestion is appreciated.

    GoFastCampers has such a thing for a 4Runner, I wonder if it's cross-compatible?

It looks like the delete kit is not cross-compatible. :(

Bumping this back up. Are there any solutions yet? Trying to mount my RTT as low as possible.

Does anyone know what exactly is used for the shark fin antenna? XM and anything else?

Pretty sure the on board navigation uses it as well.

I wonder if there's an antenna delete available for the Tundra similar to the once GFC offers for the 4Runner.

If you have something like OnX or Osmand on your phone, you really don't need the onboard nav. Dexter, I hope you aren't actually paying for "satellite" radio

Did somebody removed of replaced the sharkfin antenna yet. And if so, how? (Pictures would be great)
I like to remove it so I can have my camper closer to the roof of the car.

I think someone in Texas replaced the antenna cap with a flat low profile version. He basically designed and 3D printed one. I think I saw it in a Tundra Facebook group.

I'd like to bump this to the top as I've just purchased a new home. The shark fin is literally the reason it won't fit in the garage on my stock suspension/wheels/tires 2022 Limited.

Has anyone found an available solution for the 3rd gens?

I swapped mine out for a Panorama multi antenna so I can use my cell amp and LMR radio without drilling my roof. The stock antenna contains the LTE antennas for connected services, GPS for Nav and connected services, XM and finally AM/FM antennas it's pretty impressive what they crammed in there. The hole in the roof is roughly a square inch and is held in by a single bolt accessed by pulling the rear seat roof microphone. The clip is a pain but doable, you can pull the black cover off the antenna and stuff the whole antenna in the headliner through the light hole if you still want to use it, the LTE and FM/XM antennas mostly work there.

So you still have connected services and FM radio signal is good? if so I may just do this as well. Less the panorama multi antenna. I'll need to find something to plug that hole though. Thanks!!

I live out and the sticks and it still works, obviously it's not going to be as good as on the roof but I don't use the connected services or the FM radio much. I bet if you live in decent FM and LTE coverage you wouldn't notice much of a difference. If none of that matters to you just keep the antenna disconnected, only thing is the red LED is always lit next to the SOS button but it's not annoying.
