Anyone every Double/Triple Towed before with their Tundra

Does anyone have any experience with double towing or some people calling it triple towing? I am going camping this weekend less than 2 hours away from my home. I attached a picture of how I'm gonna have it set up. I have a 2020 Toyota Platinum 5.7L 4x4 and a 25ft travel trailer and a 17ft John Boat. Just wanting to see if anyone has done it like that before?

You are definitely going to way over the towing weight.

 

trailer weights 5500lbs and boat weighs 1500lbs

 

And passengers, luggage, fuel for truck and boat, propane tank on camper, water for sink, bath and toilet, food and other stuff.

That doesn't look safe - nor would you have any true control during braking.

Check your legalities first. Double towing scares me lol

 

They should make it illegal, or you could get a small 5th wheel that the tundra can tow, so much safer.

 

I'm thinking that towing like that is illegal. Not to mention, the way people drive these days, towing anything in general is dangerous enough.

Hadn’t seen this before, super interesting (apparently not legal in this state so makes sense now). Setup seems fine, I’d say though the payload police are far more likely to take notice and possibly do a roadside stop vs being overweight with a single trailer usually only comes up in accidents with insurance. So just double check your weights and rock on. In Oregon I see double trailers all the time and didn’t know it’s even legal to run triple trailers there, dang!

 

It's legal in Michigan. I know people that triple tow all the time with a similar setup, camper and boat. Just not with a Tundra though.

 

I’ve done it a few times, but only have about one mile of pavement before it hit the 15 miles of dirt, not exceeding 30-40mph. Pulling a lightweight 26’ camper trailer and 12’ aluminum utility trailer and atv.

 

Where In Canada is this legal? Lol.
Alberta and Saskatchewan you can double tow but first trailer has to be a 5th wheel not a bumper pull.

 

I didn’t read the rules those days! Didn’t have far to go and it was a one way trip. I’m in Ontario.
