Yeah, it’s how we get yard irrigation in my area. Get a set window of time to run water from the ditch. It’s kind of a pain in the ass in the middle of the night, but it’s way cheaper than sprinklers.

Gotcha... You actually have 'irrigation' and not city supplied, PVC delivered, water to your landscape. Makes sense to do it late in the evening//night though so you have less evaporation

Everyone back in Vegas used to say, I'm having irrigation put in this week (IE>>> someone's installing sprinklers or a drip system for their yard/plants).... I'm not sure why that was such a pet peeve for me, but no, you're not getting irrigation put in; you're having sprinklers installed!

The schedule actually changes time to time and depends on which neighbors are getting how much water, so it could be mid day or it could be 2am. Just the luck of the draw. It soaks in pretty quick though, not giving much time to worry about evaporation.

Our front yard is normal irrigation and it’s expensive AF to water. I turn it to the bare minimum to keep the grass mostly alive and it’s not terrible.

    It was a joke..
I clearly offended a couple of Gen 3 owners, one that asked for opinions on his cat back video for his V6.
I told him it sounded like a rice burner with a fart can, in which it did.
A few of them got twisted and didn't appreciate my dark sense of humor...

Apparently, I'm the bully of the forum for giving my opinion....

It is nice to be part of this group where I don't have to sugarcoat words in order to not offend anyone.

Ah, I have learned to ignore the gen 3 folks. They seem fragile (not our guys who upgraded) but the ones that joined the forum with their gen 3.
Glad everything is good and I hadn't missed something important.

    You didn't miss anything.
Our back-and-forth was deleted, probably a good idea.

Although I do now have a member reaching out to me, offering me guidance as I grow to be nicer (not such a bully) and more PC.

    The Dirty T ( ^_^)_且

Didn't know that. So up in the basin you guys flood the ground to keep the vegetation nice, while here in the valley the morons on the city council are banning new grass and trying to force everybody to save the world.

I guess this one goes down as a win for the Center of the Universe.

Lol, it’s just houses in some of the older pockets of the Basin that have water rights tied to them. If our entire yard wasn’t grass, I’d do what I could to get some desert scape installed instead.

As a owner of a 2.5 gen that’s been at Toyota for 8 months the argument that the 3rd gen is less reliable is personally fuhked

Crap, I'm back.... If you're gonna take that stance, maybe you should share it w/the rest of the forum, like w/this guy...

    New member Tundra owner

... and tell him he made a mistake by purchasing that Gen 2.5 and should immediately trade it in for a Gen 3 :boink:

The rest of us (well the majority of us) thinks he made a good choice w/his purchase!!!!
