    If you're just concerned with looks then you could always just replace the tail pipe or tip (just the tip lol). You can cut it off and replace it with a bolt on or weld option. I know Keith has a couple options for pipes and tips rather than you just replacing the whole muffler section. He made me a couple turn downs to dump under the bed.

    Sorry for the delay. Had to wash it before I took pictures. Cannot seem to get a good pic of both together. Here is a shot of the drivers side. I really like the black, has held up well. Prep is very much the key prior to painting.

    Here are a couple more mods. Haven't had time to update my build page.

    I hate the wood trim, so that looks good. How hard is it to wrap things like the cup holder?

    The air vents by the doors are easy. The other ones require you to remove the entire center console. I went ahead and wrapped the center console since I had everything out anyways

    Nice work Ron. Love to see guys take on those custom fab mods. Looks like you have the talent to tackle just about anything. I know it's hard for us to tell the difference in the slight mod, but when you see it every time you walk to your truck I'm sure it's night and day. Keep up the great work !

    @Medic what model truck do you have that comes with the black leather dash piece? And what type of shift knob do you have? It's nice!

    @Medic - Looks awesome!
    I've got a roll of some 5D CF I'm planning to do this same thing with. How easy/hard was it to get those pieces off? Any other part/ pcs that need to come off first? Thx in advance!

    Let's see just how good I am from what I can remember selling these things many many years ago. Since the dash is black leather without the red stitching of the pro and without the wood grain of a 1794 it's a limited trim model. That plus the pic of the shifter shows that he has heated seats and dual climate control which comes on limited, platinum and 1794. If in the pic by the heated seats there was a cooling option as well it could be platinum or 1794. Since this option is not present it's got to be a limited trim is my guess. Unless, of course, they've changed things up from the way they use to do it on their trim levels. My hypothesis/educated guess is that's a ltd trim, yes final answer.

    Also notice bsm which is offered on Ltd trim up. Fact its not a brownish orange interior with wood trim says not 1794. I was gonna say sliding up n down rear window it's also a cm. Now that I see his profile it says all there ltd cm. Hey I still like my way better of figuring out by options rather than easy way of reading profile lol. I'm guessing the shifter is from a good man here on the site as vendor AJT designs. Not positively sure on shifter, but looks like it, along with a sticker/decal of the Tundras T on top of it, also available from member on site. Hope helps.

    PlastiDip it. It's waaaaay easier and looks better. Unless you want that sweet carbon fiber look.

    The trim level is a limited CM. The shifter is from Joel @ ellis precision. He does awesome work.

    Very good educated guess. Yes it is a limited trim package with the Tech upgrade. The shifter is from Ellis precision. The only thing that you didn't comment on from the picture is the Tekonsha P3 brake controller. It has been temporarily placed here until the ESP dash kit can be ordered.

    The pieces do come off easily, they are held in place with plastic friction clips. You will need to take the loosen the pieces just underneath each piece. The two around the steering column just pull away. Then I removed the small trim with the air vent by pulling towards me. I had the entire lower dash apart to run wires for the brake controller when I originally removed the pieces but when I put them back, I just loosen the two small upper pieces. For the large piece, I did remove the three screws holding the glove compartment before I removed the long trim piece with the passenger side air vent (again by pulling towards me). The longest piece was held by more clips and required a little more of a pull to remove.

    Need some advice/ opinions. I was looking to change my grill with a custom made one but now my contact with the CNC machine isn't sure if he can do it. I found this grill for a good deal but I don't know if I should keep the white surround/ bulge or do a rhino lined surround/ bulge. Thanks for any input.

    That's a nice looking grill. If I were you I would keep the white surround a bulge. The rhino lined never looks right to me.

    Yup didn't notice that little piece hiding behind the shifter until now that u mention. Yeah that dash kit is sleek. Makes it look oem. I did hear on the tundracrew fb page I'm a member of that there is a tsb# that I have now that is supposed to fix the bugs with the ibc. I haven't done it yet but next time I go in for 19k service I'm going to have them try it to see if it helps with ibc. Since I tow quite a bit if that don't work I'll prob be in touch about the same kit. Hopefully don't have to go that route and the tsb# reflash solves the issues everyone including myself are having with these damn ibc's. Fingers crossed.

    I think either would look good. Maybe try the original white in and see how it looks. U can always rhino line black from there. Once black with rhino there's no going back if u don't like. Take into consideration the condition of bulge. For me, I have a nice decent scratch from my son trampoline being thrown by wind. In my case I'd probably rhino or linex so the nice big scratch disappears. If it's is still nice and pretty try it white and go from there. Can't change the other way back without buying another so go white 1st on it. Try laying something black on it like a plastic that can be removed. See if u like it before the more permanent solution of a bed liner that can't be reversed. Just my .02
