Well, I went by and tried to speak to owner. Was met by a full grown German Shepherd in fence just behind the truck. I did manage to get a couple pics before I felt like the pissed off Shepherd was about to jump the fence. It's a Texas Edition, maybe 05-06? I snuck around to look at tailgate for "4WD" emblem...looks like it's a 2WD V8. Here's some pics.IMG_20230506_122656150_HDR.jpg IMG_20230506_122707997_HDR.jpg IMG_20230506_122715982_HDR.jpg

Looks good and definitely hasn't moved it a while. Bummer about the 2wd though. Would make a good grocery getter.

Someone else's. I was tempted to take it with me, but didn't give in. I have friends in local law enforcement...might ask for a favor and get owner info from them using license plate?

I believe all 1st gens came with a chrome badge on tailgate that read 4WD.

If your friends do that, they can get it deep shit. They aren't supposed to do that. You should be able to use the address to look up the owner of the house. It's public information in most states.

Hell, sometimes you can glean some owner info just plugging the tag number + state into certain pages online and it'll cough up a lot.

This thread has been most informative, mostly because I was headed along I-26 yesterday and was passed by a Tundra sporting an XSP badge which had me thinking what the heck is an XSP.

I think some 05-06 didn't. Either that or a majority that I've seen are 2wd.
