I am thinking of going with the Undercover Armor flex when my truck arrives. Let me know what you think of their quality and fitment. Thx.

Bakflip sent me a new cover and new rails. I do have to say customer service is great. HOWEVER! The new rails and new cover are no different. Same issue with the parts near the cab not being flush and same issue with the metal wanting to cut into the rubber. I put some padding on it to see if that helps, but the padding keeps it from closing well. Bummer.

I’m installing my undercover right now, tried using the brackets with the cargo mount system and it’s phucked, way too much slop in the bracket tolerance, and it won’t hold up the rail level with the truck bed rail.

I took out the cargo management system and installed using the other standard brackets they included and poof , dead on balls level and tight

see pics, you can see the tilt and then see the other one nice and flat

Interesting, that kind of sucks. I was hoping to retain the those factory cargo rails so I could put hold downs in between the tonneau rail clamps.

the factory tie downs are too big and you can use them even if you did mount with the cargo system brackets

the four tie down spots on the bed are plenty for me

There are after market tie downs that are smaller than the factory ones that will fit.

Off to Menards to find an adapter for the drain tube , not really wanting to drill out the holes more

Undercover does make a nice cover. I think it's better than the OEM or BAKflip but having never buying either I can only go by what others say.

I have had a lot of trucks and covers over the years, this one seems really high quality and tight, doubt I’ll have much water at all

I have a tailgate gasket going on still and I hose test and silicon spot seal if I get any trickles but I don’t think there will be much if any with this one

Let me know how that goes, interested in the adapters you choose and how you intend to secure them through the bed. I might be concerned in hitting them and snapping off.

So if my truck didn’t come with factory rails, I can install this cover without them? Just need the factory bolts ?

I took out my cargo system and used the standard brackets it came with, works perfect

I left the cargo rail in the front

Ok drains done , used 90 hose barb . I did wind up having to make the hole slightly larger but it was a breeze and with the 90 degree it lays flat and out of the way and works perfect with bed mat. Here’s pics with sizes

I used a 21/64 drill bit and that size barb fits perfect

Looks great, never thought of using a 90 deg fitting so the bed mat covers them. I have seen some people use tie mounts on the drain tubes on the back of the bed so they don't rattle and some others don't trust the barbs on the fittings so added metal hose clamps. I think your install is very clean, thanks for sharing.

I got it from a vendor of this site for a good price, service and speed was awesome

I'll figure it out. Might need some spacers and longer hardware. Where there is a will, there is a way.

your not supposed to lose the rails but I had to take mine out to use the standard mounting

That said if you use the tundra specific brackets that came with it and it worked, you would only not be able to use the oem sliding tie downs

Eitherway, the cargo bed rail system isn’t rated for much anyways , so to secure something of any kind of weight the bed mount ones would be needed .

anyways so far so good and it didn’t fly off yet lol

If you can get the mount with the cargo rail system brackets to work, you wouldn’t need much more room at all to use the oem sliding tie downs, they are just a bit to tall, you could easily still use something aftermarket

I don’t really care about the cargo system that much so I didn’t mind having to remove the stock rails and just standard mount to the truck bed rails

    anyways , good luck!
