    Hey everyone!
I'm looking to do full-blown LED Retrofit Headlights for my truck. I've been researching different companies for months and I just can't decide which one to go with. I've heard a lot of good things about CW Customs but know they're more on the pricey side. Does anyone have experience with CW, TEQ, or anything else? I'm not really wanting to do it myself because I'm not confident in my headlight modification abilities, but I would consider having another member build them if they're experienced.
    I have a 2006 Double Cab

    Thanks yall

There's a few LED threads floating around here. If you're dead set on LEDS for an '06 find some that have 'canbus' capability. You wont need to use resistors to avoid the no fog light or other problems.

Coming from someone who had LEDS for high/low/fogs on factory lenses, just get the high power harness and real halogen bulbs. Much better light output VS LED. But if you just want it for the bling factor, you do you. Our lenses weren't designed for LED or HID so maybe buy some projector lenses or a retrofit kit to go with the LEDs.

Link to high powa halogen thread:

Do a search and you'll see more threads about LED problems than happy stories. I rocked LEDs for a while but am much happier with the heavy duty halogen setup in the above link.

Here's a good discussion with links to more good threads on the same topic:

Buy the parts, bake, install, glue. Easy peasy.

Nothing better and no better company or better customer service, hands down.

Thanks, guys! I really appreciate the feedback. I'm wanting LEDs for the show factor and the modern white look, and I've seen a few pictures of people running them and like the all-black look. Also, this project is far in the future, its way out of the budget for a student attending 2 colleges and is a lead at chickfila lol

The 1st gen headlight’s gotta be pretty straightforward to retrofit. There are inexpensive BI-LED options for under $100. For your first retrofit, these would be pretty killer. I’ve done a few 2.5 gen retrofits, they get easier each time. Do it once, you can always open them up and make them better later.

@TX-TRD1stGEN laid out his upgrade pretty nicely, if you think LED H4 mini projectors at ~$60 or less aren't going to work for you.

What he bought from TRS, which @BuzzardsGottaEat already reco'd:

    His pile of goods:

    His end result:

It's one of the things I considered when making the no-bake projector swap with H4 minis:

My total rundown on parts and costs, knowing I wasn't gonna butcher my nearly-new OEM housings:

Why I opted for a fanless bulb, when there are ones with fans available:
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/wha...-gen-tundra-today.2558/page-1586#post-3141265

My end result as far as light output goes, before/after, before I rotated things out properly, and if you scroll down there's more output pics and a side-by-side of new OEM vs. aftermarket OEM with the mini-projector, the output and color difference is tremendous, and a short video of low/high beam:

Last but not least, real-world usage in action:

Sadly, no out-in-the-woods shots. I'm overall satisfied, and I think your end result may depend some on the condition of your housings. I wish the pattern was wider, but it's easily twice as good as stock.
