That I did. Enough to be dangerous, but always had people that could help me out when I got in over my head.

i have 3 late 80's mistybitches (or dodge raiders) i was given for getting em out of the guys yard. The blue one is closest to running, and the silver one is a close 2nd, and the plan for the red one (with rear coils) is to build a motorcycle powered gokart, since i only have 1/2 the engine.

Hmmm... I think I'd take the best parts of the three and get one back on the road. Not sure how hard to get parts these days! :monocle:

Suspension seats & tosion bar fronts. The body of the red one is gonna get black plexiglass windows & house my air compressor and a tank & sit outside my shop. Hardlined. Can add a roof vent fan to keep everything happy.

I really wish beau woulda considered bringing his sho's down here. Him & his chick coulda sold parts, and i'da shipped em. I dont mind starting a jy in my neighborhood at all. They wanna call the cops on golfcarts and minibikes, they can suck a sack of raw corn. The golf cart kids stay in their lane, and sound faster than they're going. But the poa chunts can get a good looksee of my yard art & pitch their fits. Couldnt care less.

anywho, one of these days i'll meet a chick willing to run my craigslist account, but i'll hoard until then.

I’m partial to the Fox bodies because my wife drove one when we first started dating in high school. It was a 4 cylinder, but still a fox body nonetheless. But I also have a soft spot for old Mopars. My grandma had a 76 Dodge Dart with a 318. It was a 4 door and pea green but that baby would fly.

Thanks, yep manual transmission was a requirement for me. I think you could get them everywhere but California in 1978.

Nice GT convertible. I know what you mean when you are driving with the top down. Back in my high school days I had a 70 Ford XL convertible. Had lots of fun in that car if you know what I mean.

Cool project. Keep us posted on the progress from time to time. It's going to be killer once it's done.

My 1963 Falcon Futura with a mildly built 5.0L from a 1990 Mustang. Most of the work was done by the previous owner but we are gradually working on the interior and now getting ready to re-do some of the bodywork. Fun car to drive once the snow goes away here in CO.

Looked at 60's Mustangs, Camaros and Chevelles for a long time before stumbling across this.

Cool Falcon with the added reliability of a newer powertrain. That is a good "stumble", you really don't see many of these running around.

PS: How do you like your RB 20 slims on the Tundra ? I am thinking of getting the same ones when I get my truck this summer.

Falcons were never really on my radar until we got more serious and we started to go to more car shows. After seeing a few, our list of potentials got a little longer, which turned out in our favor. And, it's kind of fun to have something that is more unique. I originally was looking for more of a full on project, but this checked a lot of our boxes and the previous owner had already done a lot of the work that we would have done eventually. So, I looked at it like he'd given us a head start. Like any car like this, it's a great conversation starter and generates lots of honks and thumbs-ups when we are on the road.
RB-20 Slims are great. Plenty of tread for my feet getting in and out. The one thing I do notice when walking up to the truck is the brackets sticking down below the board. If I could change one thing, that would be it - re-design or find a way to tuck the bracket up a little more.

Thanks for the info. I assume they are the regular finish ones? I am sure a steel tubed designed bracket could be made and then flatten the tube a bit where it attaches to the underside of the running board. The angled brackets provided are more cost effective to produce.

Since you are in Colorado, Steel City Mustangs in Pueblo has a lot of parts and resources for Ford enthusiasts. He even does paint and body. Jamie is his name and someone I personally know.

Bad ass!!! I have the exact drivetrain in my garage for my heep. I owned a 1984 GMC in HS. Definitely give updates on this build. These trucks are in high demand and pull big money.

That is a great lead, I appreciate it! I've got a local shop in Lakewood working on some upholstery now and will check them out while that is happening.

No right now we are doing more fab to the bed. Having a flush mounted tonneau cover made for it. Then a bunch of body work and parts to install
