Nothing like getting spanked by 6 banger when driving a V8, all of the sudden the sound isn’t such a big deal.

yea I remember those 89 Trans Ams with the same set up. If I recall they were mostly all white with gold trim. Don’t know why I remember that? Btw, I use to own a 1985 baby blue IROC back in the day. It was kind of rare as had a Manuel instead of the regular automatic. Initially came with a 305 but I ended up swapping out with a nice little 500hp warmed over 350. Those were the days when 500hp was WOW type power. Now if you don’t have at least 1000hp you’re gonna be left at the tree on green. Heck most family rides today has 500hp. Oh how the times have changed.

First thing that came to my mind was a Tesla, nothing like getting smoked off the line by an electric vibrater....

I dunno, yeah, it's a 6 bagger but with this exhaust it kind of sounds like an exotic European sports car and I like it better than the factory commercial grade sewing machine style exhaust that it comes with, hence that's prolly why they piped in the audio sound bite into our speakers.

I think it’s great people are trying to achieve a better sound from the 3rd Gen. Different strokes for different folks.

I think its just the ones with JBL speakers. My SR5 doesn’t have it. I bet someone has a better answer

Correct - only those with the JBL sound system get the “engine sound” (think its called EES).

    So.........Ahhhh back to trucks eh?
So I swung by the stealership yesterday and he said that my truck should be rolling in next Saturday or so the13th - 24th so I'd figured drive it for a day or two before I yank out the factory exhaust and swap in my new one.
The whole thing has me torn,it's not an 8 like my Chevy which sounds like an 8 especially on a cold start up, and the new one, well I dunno yet it's not even here yet but I just want it to sound decent and from what I've heard and seen from the new 3rd gens it just doesn't sound like a truck.I don't really want it to sound like a big fart can and replicate the "Fast and the retarded" either but what also comes to mind is a Tesla.
Some of Tesla's models are stupid quick but there's no sound to them, maybe I'm just old school and not jumping up and down like a little school girl for the new generation of "Go Electric" but this new truck needs some noise it has balls like 437HP w/581 Tourqe balls out & right out of the box, but it sounds nudered.
I guess it's just the shit that keeps us up at night thinking of new shit to add to them and the Blaber net just adds fuel to the fire.

I dunno but I'll stop now...

hate to say it but when I got my stock 2022 Tundra it was quiet as heck. Really no sound and to be honest it didn’t bother me at all. So if you are looking for that old school v8 truck sound the new Tundra may not be for you or anyone looking for that. I am lucky enough to have other vehicles that have the big v8 sound so if I need that will just drive one of those. I do see a ton of hate or let’s just say disapproval of Tesla’s or EV’s and I swear I use to be the same way but I just said F it and bought a Tesla S plaid should get it this month the build says. Once I have it I will post some pics and audio of the quietness, even more so than these trucks obviously. It’s crazy my fastest 2 vehicles (until the plaid arrives) are a 9 second mustang (high 9’s that is) and a mid 10 second BMW m5 competition that I have added a TON of stuff to (if you seen pics of my truck on here you know I am not scared to add aftermarket stuff to my rides), but this model S plaid will smoke everything I have right out the box without anything other than charging it up. Yea I know no heart/life, etc etc. Let the more anti hate rhetoric begin……..

Maybe the regular EB, but the multi mode Gen3 Raptor exhaust sounds as good as it can get for a non exotic 6cylinder, especially in Sport or Baja modes. Quiet mode is also nice for early morning remote starts.

Ditto for me. I was only getting this one and waited a while before finally giving in. Can always sell it if I really hate it but I have a feeling me with speed it’s gonna be legit. A quiet legit, but legit speed monster!! Plus won’t be my daily driver anyway. Got to switch em up day to day!!
