    1 - where's the pics?
2 - how'd you know the weight of your old OEM wheels?

It's a little odd with the desert sand paint but when I get the black running boards on I think it will visually tie the wheels together. Maybe other blue accents will help. We'll see. I'll wear them until winter changeover in mid Oct, then decide.

The wider 17"x9" rims widen the tires and push them about flush with the wheel well flares.

Pics coming when I get the side boards on. It's a beach of a job on this model. The OEM wheels came off and I weighed them at 27.9 lbs.

I mean you can make anything fit whatever you want but that doesn't mean it's a great idea.

Would it bolt right on? No.

Fellow new 17x9 wheel owner here too, -12 offset. It’s looking like the wheel lip will inset about 1” in from the edge, and the tire sidewall bulge will fill most of that gap. Will be curious your results. At that price, you can afford to professionally re-finish in any color you want cheaper buying new wheels.

    As it should!

I'm moderately concerned how much driving will change adding 1.5" width to the wheels. Just a half inch width can noticeably change the dynamic on some vehicles. Last thing I want is heavier-feeling steering, but it was always either 8.5 or 9 width regardless what wheel I was looking at, so ... screw it!

Anyone know what size clear vinyl hose (inner diameter) we need for brake bleeding? Is it 5/16" or 3/8" ID?

The brown one had less than 5k miles on it before Sedona. I guess I'll keep it as a spare.

That's the time spending double the money for a TRD reuseable air filter would have been beneficial. I could never justify it personally to buy.

I wish. McGeorge charges $19 but wanted $20 for shipping. I was able to haggle my local dealer down from $34 to $31.

I ran into the same getting air filters and cabin filters for the Tundra and Highlander. I ended up ordering online from DensoProducts site, and the shipping was normal, up to the point I added the largest filter, then it jumped up.

Best bet is probably ordering from a place like Serra of Birmingham, $75 worth so you can capitalize on FREESHIP plus not get taxed, and stockpile instead.

I guess I should consider myself lucky. I can pick up the parts for about same cost at my local dealer by selecting the pickup option.

I tried to do this by coming up with parts I should add to my cart to hit $75, but I really don't need anything else right now. Need to chill on spending after that trip. I think I spent close to $1,000 on gas.

I just put those 1.25" spacers on all 4 corners of my truck. Steering is no heavier. Stability when cornering is better though, I notice it even on gentle bends at freeway speeds.

    ^ this.

I've got one of those AFE dry filters. Closer performance as OEM and no oiling needed.

What benefit would the TRD filter have? I'm not familiar with it.

I don't think you can get one anymore. Basically for around $50 when they sold them, you could wash it down and re-oil it to use it over again, IIRC. I've never used one myself.

telling you, i bet my tundra is a 4.8 by now. Grandpa never oiled it, and i use a bare minimum of oil. But all restriction in the intake pays dividends to fuel economy. The computer only give enough fuel for the air the engine receives.

Did my spare tire maintenence today. Not sure how, in adverse circumstances, you're supposed to replace a flat tire, but the yearly maintenance will have you semi ready. Oiled pully and cable then sprayed lubricant on the areas where rust was starting. Filled spared tire through compressor and added a piece of tape to spare tire release jack so know where it reaches as beer limits my vision in breakdowns.

Gave Ironman his yearly bath. Had to wash all the AZ off. I even got as much of the underside as I could. He makes a fine polished turd.

I had a pic ready, but it won't load. Fuck Google drive.
