I just bought this truck and would like to get several extra air filters. I work on construction sites where it gets super dusty so they get changed a lot.
I’ve looked online and at local auto parts houses and they only seem to have K&N .
I’m sure they’re great but I work away from home and don’t have time to clean them .
So what’s a decent filter besides the Toyota dealership?

This is a very odd thing. Looked at rockauto, Amazon and even ebay. All you can really find right now is toyota regular filters (20bucks each) TRD filters (45 each and washable)
Only real aftermarket is K&N (little more money and washable)

I scrolled for an hour and found nothing about engine air filters. Maybe I missed it?
There’s bound to be one already made that fits perfectly for another vehicle.
I was hoping someone had found it.

Recommend the TRD air filters. Got mine off parts.toyota.com

It was around 40 each. Not cheap, but I can definitely hear the turbos more with them.

I bought the TRD filters and they seem just fine and I hear the turbos better

There should be cheaper alternatives out there but as of yet... whether you search Amazon, ebay, rockauto nothing is coming up.
Searching Fram's site, all they have is oil filters for the Tundra. No air filters....

Intersting exercise on how long it takes aftermarket consumer oem level products can take to get to the market.
Or is there some other reason the lack of aftermarket parts stuff so far?

Bought the TRD filters too. Makes a bit more turbo whistle but i dont find I hear them all that much.
I'd say you'd have to know what to listen for and sometimes when.

    Agreed.
They had a sale of sorts a couple of weeks ago, so I decided to get them (the dry "S" model) at about $117.

Ironically, it's been over 2 weeks since my initial order and here's an email from them I received last night:
"I sincerely apologize, it looks like our filter production was experiencing some delays due to material shortages. Your item is in the final stages of production now and expected to ship within 1-2 weeks."

I'm not in a rush or anything, so I'll wait (no way in hell I'm dealing with oiling air filters again in my life)...but, even aFe has squirrels in their air filter fabric pile?

    Quick update:
Finally received my aFe PRO DryS filters.
In the 2 days I've had them installed I've picked up .5 MPG, and I swear the gas pedal feels "lighter" than before, with the truck boosting faster and easier as well.
I had 26K miles on the OEM paper filters, and they weren't very dirty by any means.

I'm no snake oil salesman, nor am I associated with aFe in any way, but I can (surprisingly) tell a difference.

They heard you!!!, its now 161.70 for two just a short 12 days later. Should have grabbed that bargain deal at the cheap cheap price of $155.00 (heavy sarcasm inserted).

I bought them when they had a sale going on a couple of weeks ago, at around $115.
