How many tires have you put on that car? I feel like this is the 4th or 5th flat tire you've had!

Anyone carrying a spare in their Tesla? I was considering it...I've had almost as many flats as @nobodyintexas.

Are you patching yourself or having it towed somewhere?

Only one blowout and got towed. The rest I've been able to get to a tire shop in time

    hey now.

I have great luck. the Tundra is awesome.

She has the bad luck. wait....nevermind.

thanks for the head's up on the spare.

The Hempstead Tesla service center in Houston appears to only do tires, windshields & bumpers. which is probably all that breaks.

My daughter noticed everything was super clean in the shop...no oil smell.

they even squared up our driver side door, which had an uneven gap.

She hit a giant pot hole...evidently "unavoidable". happened in a demographically challenged and very urban section of beltway 8...so when the wife called, I had to jump-naked and head out there. From the office, took me 15 minutes to get there...the flatbed was there 5 minutes after I got there. Luckily my daughter was there to summon the Tesla forces on the app. I'm not quite sure our marriage would've survived if I had to coach my wife, over the phone, how to do it....it worked seamless.

2 thumbs up for Tesla service.

    1 more observation.

we left the car once it was on the flatbed...the driver was tying it down.

we monitored the location of the car on the tesla app.

however...it never moved from where it got picked up. it showed up at telsa...and we were thinking it was still back there.

so....does it not ping location unless it moves by the the driver moving it? weird.

I wonder if it was a reception thing? Or if it’s tow mode, does it disable it for some reason?

    dunno.

    reception was solid.

it was not in tow mode. he drove it onto the truck.

maybe because it was in park? it popped back up when he drove it off the truck.

Hmmm. I would submit a general request on the app. Curious to what they respond with.

    more cannon fodder.

So our new boat dock place is in a gated section. nothing fancy, just keeps out the traffic.

well, I try to program the simple remote to the Tundra....no luck.

I go to program the Tesla, and it takes less than a minute. it walks you thru the whole process. AND you can set it to open the gate with a proximity feature. So the wife never has to fumble for the remote. she gets close & the gate opens.

    Tesla makes life easy.

I'm still trying to program the Tundra. it's a simple remote, not one of the code changing kind.

I never had problems programming my Toyotas, including my Tundra. Less than a minute. I did have to look at the instructions though.

zactly...programming the code-jumping remotes was easy for me. this simple one just won't program.

I'm gonna cruise the youtube today. maybe i need to clear out the present programs (if any)
