    Yes, because if you're in a collision (your fault or not), that jack will keep moving at the speed your truck was moving before the collision. Best ending: your jack causes significant damage to your truck bed, back wall or window; worst: it kills someone.

    Its your decision but I would never trust a scissor jack, especially lifting a truck. I had one bend years ago.

    That isn't always the case, or at least it wasn't. When these were in the pre-sale stage, I'm guessing they aren't now, stores in my area that showed stock were not actually available because they were already paid for in pre-sale and just waiting for the buyer to pick it up. Didn't make sense to me to show stock if they weren't available.
